Dak Nong has the first two model new rural communes

Accordingly, 5 communes were recognized as meeting NTM standards, including: Long Son, Dak Mil district; Dak Ha, Dak Glong district; Dak Buk So, Tuy Duc district; Quang Phu and Buon Choah, Krong No district.

Comrade Le Trong Yen, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee directed communes to continue promoting the construction of new rural areas.

4 communes meeting advanced NTM standards include: Nam Dong, Cu Jut district; Duc Manh, Dak Mil district; Dak Ru, Dak R'lap district; Dak Nia, Gia Nghia city.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Dong, Deputy Director of Dak Nong Department of Agriculture and Environment, spoke at the meeting.

Two communes that have achieved model NTM standards include: Tam Thang, Cu Jut district and Nhan Co, Dak R'lap district.

With the results of this meeting, Dak Nong has 45/60 communes meeting NTM standards; 7 advanced NTM communes and 2 model NTM communes.

Mr. Hoang Van Huan, Deputy Head of the Department of Rural Development, reported on the results of the assessment of communes meeting the standards of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas.

Speaking at the meeting, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen assessed that the results achieved by the communes were only initial successes.

The construction of new rural areas therefore needs to be maintained and promoted. Units and localities need to promote the spirit of building new rural areas to bring practical benefits to the people. How can people benefit, and the countryside be renewed and developed more?

The Council reports the results of appraisal and evaluation of the criteria of each commune on building new rural areas in 2024.

Dak Nong New Rural Area Appraisal Council voted to approve the recognition of 11 communes meeting the standards of New Rural Area, Advanced New Rural Area, and Model New Rural Area in 2024.
