Dak Lak launches the "Charitable Tet" movement for the Spring of At Ty 2025

On the morning of January 9, the Provincial Red Cross Society held a launching ceremony for the "Humanitarian Tet" Movement in the Spring of At Ty 2025. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Vo Van Canh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, localities and businesses, and people in difficult circumstances in Buon Ma Thuot city.

Implementing the central government's direction, the "Humane Tet" movement for the year of the Snake 2025 in Dak Lak will take place from December 1, 2024, peaking from January 7-27, 2025. Red Cross Associations at all levels in the province strive to care for and support at least 35,800 poor people, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet with a total value of over 18 billion VND. After more than 1 month of mobilization, nearly 100 organizations, individuals, and philanthropists have shown interest and supported over 10,000 gifts.

At the launching ceremony, organizations and individuals directly donated cash and in-kind support with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND. The organizing committee presented 600 Tet gifts to poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in Buon Ma Thuot city. Of which, 300 gifts were supported by Thien Tam Fund - VINGROUP Corporation, each gift worth 600,000 VND, including 1 gift and 500,000 VND in cash; 300 gifts were supported by the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association and distributed at the Humanitarian Fair, each gift worth 535,000 VND, including 1 gift and 200,000 VND in cash.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai praised and highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Provincial Red Cross Society in implementing the "Humanitarian Tet" movement; at the same time, he called on all levels, sectors, and all people to join hands and wholeheartedly take care of Tet for the poor, people in difficult circumstances, victims of Agent Orange, people with disabilities, etc. so that everyone can have Tet.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Red Cross Society to encourage creativity, good ideas, and new ways of doing things in calling for resources and organizing diverse support activities during Tet; continue to promote its role and responsibility, truly be a reliable address, a bridge to receive and coordinate funding sources to ensure the right subjects, publicity, transparency, and compliance with the law.

Through the launching program, the organizing committee hopes to mobilize and widely connect the participation and contributions of groups, individuals and communities to provide both material and spiritual support so that the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet, so that Tet is truly a national festival, building the great national unity bloc and spreading the noble humanistic values ​​of the Vietnamese people.
