Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang presents his credentials to the President of Slovenia

Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to further develop the friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with Slovenia.

On the morning of April 23, at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Vu Le Thai Hoang, Ambassador of Vietnam to Austria and concurrently to Slovenia, presented his credentials to President of the Republic of Slovenia Natasa Pirc Musar, officially starting his term of office in the Republic of Slovenia.

The presentation of credentials and the meeting with Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musa took place in a warm and respectful atmosphere, demonstrating goodwill and determination to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking at the intimate reception after the Letter of Credence Presentation Ceremony, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam,President Luong Cuong and Vietnamese leaders to President Natasa Pirc Musar.

Expressing his honor to be assigned to Slovenia after the two countries celebrated the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1994-2024), Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang informed President Natasa Pirc Musar about the positive and effective developments of the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Slovenia in many fields such as politics - diplomacy, economy - trade.

On this occasion, the Ambassador also informed about the socio -economic development situation of Vietnam, about the determination to enter a new era of growth, wealth and prosperity of the country.

The Ambassador emphasized that Slovenia and Vietnam have many similarities in the process of national development - both are small and medium-sized countries, successfully transforming from low to high economic levels.

Considering Slovenia a model in the application of science, technology and innovation, and believing that Vietnam can learn a lot from its experiences, the Ambassador proposed a number of areas of cooperation in which Slovenia has strengths and Vietnam has needs such as science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, sustainable development, smart cities, smart agriculture, climate change response, especially in the Mekong Delta region which plays an important role in ensuring food security for Vietnam and the region, labor cooperation and vocational training.

Affirming that Vietnam always values ​​and wishes to further develop the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Slovenia, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang expressed his hope that Slovenian enterprises will increase business cooperation and investment in Vietnam in areas where Slovenia has strengths and Vietnam has demand.

The Ambassador sincerely thanked and expressed his hope that the President and the Government of Slovenia would continue to support and help the Vietnamese community in Slovenia integrate with the host country, serving as a bridge to strengthen the friendship between the people of the two countries.

President Natasa Pirc Musar thanked General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Vietnamese leaders for their greetings; highly appreciated the dynamic development of the Vietnamese economy, which is superior to many EU member countries.

Ms. Natasa Pirc Musar hopes that the two countries will set specific goals to promote substantive cooperation, especially in the context of a volatile world with many challenges such as conflicts, economic instability and increasing protectionist trade policies.

Besides, the President of Slovenia expressed his satisfaction with the good development of the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries, especially the cooperation and mutual support in international forums.

President Natasa Pirc Musar affirmed that the State and Government of Slovenia always attach importance to and wish to further develop the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries; agreed that the two sides still have a lot of potential for cooperation in the fields of high technology, industry, digital transformation, and green growth.

The Ambassador presented President Natasa Pirc Musar with a white lotus embroidery painting made by artisan Nguyen Quoc Su - known as the "man who paints with thread".

The gift not only introduces the unique traditional culture of Vietnam but also shows the goodwill, respect and desire to build a lasting friendship between the two countries. With its delicate lines, the painting also reflects the ingenuity, diligence and dedication of the Vietnamese people, as a friendly greeting from Vietnam to Slovenia.
