Congress to establish the Provincial People's Police Veterans Association, term 2023-2028

On November 28, in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, the Congress to establish the Provincial Association of Former People's Police Officers (CAND) for the 2023-2028 term took place.

Attending the event were comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Major General Vu Hung Vuong, former Deputy Director General of the General Department of Police - Ministry of Public Security, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Former Police Officers; members of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Van Binh, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Lam Dong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; leaders of departments, branches and localities in the province and more than 250 delegates who are retired officers of the Provincial Police force.

The Provincial Association of Former Police Officers is a social-professional organization, operating on the principles of voluntariness, self-management, self-financing, not for profit, organized and operating according to the Charter of the Vietnam Association of Former Police Officers, complying with the provisions of law, under the state management of the Provincial Police and departments and branches related to the field of operation of the association. The Congress elected 19 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Association of Former Police Officers: Colonel Ngo Van Be, former Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, member of the Vietnam Association of Former Police Officers, Head of the Campaign Committee for the establishment of the Provincial Association of Former Police Officers, was elected as Chairman of the Provincial Association of Former Police Officers for the 2023-2028 term.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Association of Former Police Officers, term 2023-2028, was introduced to the congress.

Speaking at the congress, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the Congress to establish the Association of Former Police Officers of Ninh Thuan province is an important political event, aiming to build a unified organization to gather, unite, and at the same time acknowledge and express gratitude for the sacrifices, contributions of efforts and intelligence of generations of former police officers and retired police officers in the locality. In order to effectively implement the goals and tasks set out by the congress, the Association of Former Police Officers of the province needs to urgently develop and perfect the association's operating regulations to ensure flexibility, creativity, practicality and efficiency; regularly coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and local police to perform the task of protecting security and order, consolidating the movement of All people protecting national security, building a people's security and a solid people's security posture and people's hearts posture.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial Police, Party committees at all levels, and authorities to pay attention to directing and guiding the establishment of associations at the district level; study and develop mechanisms and create conditions for associations at all levels to operate smoothly and effectively, creating a combined strength to carry out local political tasks, especially participating in the development and supervision of the implementation of Party resolutions and State policies and laws; at the same time, study, propose and implement regimes and policies suitable to the requirements of the association's tasks, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of comrades who are former police officers and retired police officers.
