Quang Tri Provincial Badminton Federation Congress, Term I, 2024-2029

Today, October 5, the Quang Tri Provincial Badminton Federation held its first congress for the 2024-2029 term. 200 delegates from badminton clubs in the province attended the congress.

The badminton training movement in Quang Tri province in recent years has developed strongly in both breadth and depth.

The province currently has more than 100 badminton clubs in districts, towns and cities, with an estimated 2,100 members participating in badminton training.

The spontaneous badminton movement has gradually become organized; badminton clubs have professional coaches to organize training and competitions according to the program.

Every year, the province has over 30 friendly competitions organized by clubs; many competitions create prestige and quality, encouraging agencies, units and people to invest in playgrounds, establish clubs and organize sports competitions...

Through grassroots tournaments, many badminton talents have been discovered for the province. In particular, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri has identified badminton as a strong sport. Many Quang Tri athletes have reached the level of masters and level 1 and have been called up to the youth team and the Vietnam badminton team. Quang Tri badminton has gradually affirmed its top position nationwide.

The first Congress of the Quang Tri Provincial Badminton Federation, term 2024-2029, set out the direction of activities to continue to develop the badminton movement widely among the people in the direction of activities from the province to the grassroots, focusing on promoting and improving the quality of the movement in schools, attracting teenagers, students and pupils to participate in training activities, thereby harmoniously developing their intelligence and physical strength.

Strengthen badminton clubs operating in the province according to the general direction of the federation. Mobilize resources from socialization to develop the movement.

Coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to manage badminton for each club and coach; orient and organize the planning of field conditions to include in key planned activities, especially for grassroots clubs.

Focus on developing badminton both at grassroots and at the top level, taking grassroots activities as the core, striving to enhance the position of Quang Tri badminton in the province's sports and physical training career with badminton in localities across the country.

The first Provincial Badminton Federation Congress elected an executive committee of 19 members. Mr. Le Minh Tuan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was elected as Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Badminton Federation for the 2024-2029 term.
