YONHAP. South Korea plans to closely coordinate with Japan and China to restore trilateral cooperation mechanisms in the near future, President Yoon Suk Yeol said in Jakarta, Indonesia.
AKP. During the 26th ASEAN-China Summit in Jakarta, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet confirmed that he will visit China this month.
WHO. The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that Martin Taylor has been appointed as its new representative to China.
BERNAMA. The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council under the Ministry of Health announced a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the US medical research center Mayo Clinic, aiming to improve the quality of healthcare services in Malaysia.
TASS. Russia and Myanmar resumed direct flights between the two countries after a 30-year hiatus, creating more opportunities for Russian tourists wanting to travel to Southeast Asia for vacation.

EURO NEWS. The EU has announced the names of the companies that will be subject to the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which will see the world's six largest tech giants (Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft and ByteDance) face the toughest restrictions ever.
AFP. Swedish and Norwegian police will set up joint security checkpoints in the border areas of the two countries to enhance cooperation and prevent criminal gangs in Sweden from expanding their activities to Norway.
DW. Germany plans to significantly increase ammunition purchases by 2024 as Western countries scramble to replenish stocks depleted by donations to Ukraine.
UKRINFORM. The Ukrainian parliament has approved President Volodymyr Zelensky's proposal to appoint Rustem Umerov as the new defense minister, after his predecessor Oleksii Reznikov was dismissed on corruption charges.

CBC. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that his country will open an export development office in the Indonesian capital Jakarta and appoint a trade representative for the Indo-Pacific region.
RIO NEWS. Authorities in Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul state say a tropical storm that unleashed hail and tornadoes has swept through the region, killing at least 22 people.

AFP. The African climate summit in Kenya issued a joint statement, highlighting the need for a comprehensive change in the global financial system and urging the international community to support the promotion of renewable energy.
TIMES OF ISRAEL. Moroccan Senate President Enaam Mayara has been hospitalized in Jordan and is likely to cancel a historic visit to Israel today, September 7.
SUDANS POST. Sudan has welcomed its first international civilian flight since the conflict between the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) broke out in mid-April this year.
TAP. Tunisia detected the first case of infection with the EG.5 variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in a newborn baby, who has been discharged from hospital and is in stable condition.
