The Congress had high consensus in approving the political reports submitted to the Congress and electing the Party Executive Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2025-2030 term.

Promoting the 80-year tradition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities

Taking place on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (1995-2025), the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the University of Letters (1945-2025), the 29th Congress has a special significance, summarizing the 5-year working term (2020-2025) and looking back on the three decades of construction and development of the University's Party Committee. From there, it sets out the development orientation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the era of national development.

During the 2020 - 2025 term, the school's Party Committee has achieved many achievements in various fields. In particular, the school's Party Committee actively led the implementation of political and ideological education through many forms, associated with Party building work, aiming to strengthen solidarity, creating motivation to build and develop the school.

Aiming to build a multidisciplinary, multi-field research university, based on practical requirements, the Party Committee has directed the adjustment and rearrangement of the organizational structure of a number of units to suit the trend and meet the requirements of school development in the direction of a research and innovative university.

The Party Committee directs innovation in admission methods, supports learners, improves training quality, meets social needs and international integration; creates high-quality scientific products, strengthens international integration in science, and actively contributes to building a research university. At the same time, expands domestic and international cooperation to develop and enhance the position of the school; diversifies financial resources, modernizes facilities and equipment for training, scientific research, and international cooperation.

In addition, the school has promoted administrative reform according to ISO standards, built advanced university governance, strengthened school discipline, spread the culture of quality assurance; continued to innovate operating methods, promoted the role of mass organizations in building and developing the school. Enhanced the pioneering and exemplary role of party members and cadres, built strong party cells, promoted the comprehensive leadership role of party cells and the Party Committee for units and schools.

The Congress also frankly acknowledged the limitations, causes of the limitations and drew some experiences based on the strategies, goals and tasks set out by the 28th Party Congress of the school and the practical leadership in building and developing the school in the past term.

In the new domestic and international context, the Congress sets out directions, goals, tasks and solutions for implementation in the 2025 - 2030 term.

Accordingly, the Congress determined to promote the comprehensive leadership role of the Party, promote comprehensive innovation to bring the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to continue to develop in the direction of an advanced research university, affirm its professional reputation, enhance its position domestically and internationally, contribute to the development of Hanoi National University and serve the country in the era of national development.

The congress determined solutions for comprehensive reform, synchronous innovation, and building a scientific roadmap with key priorities in the school development plan. The adopted slogan for action is “Solidarity - Innovation - Autonomy - Development”.

Speaking at the Congress, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Hanoi National University Le Quan acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to the overall development of Hanoi National University in particular and the national education cause in general; as well as the achievements of the school's Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

To promote the above achievements, Party Secretary and Director of Hanoi National University Le Quan emphasized the opportunities, challenges and 3 key issues that the school's Party Committee in the next term needs to direct implementation.

That is to prioritize training development associated with autonomy, pioneering in elite training, internationalization and international integration; continuing to actively apply science and technology, contributing to solving the country's problems; synchronously and effectively implementing Resolution 18 of the Central Executive Committee to continue to innovate, streamline the organization, and operate effectively and efficiently.

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee expresses gratitude to the members of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term XXVIII, who did not participate in the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University, term XXIX.

Congress of solidarity - innovation - autonomy - development

The Congress listened to 6 presentations on important contents in the school's development strategy in all aspects of activities; discussed, voted and approved the Draft Political Report of the 29th Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress held a secret ballot and elected 15 comrades to the Party Executive Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2025-2030 term.

The Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, new term, held its first meeting, elected the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Party Committee Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Party Committee Inspection Committee.

Specifically: Comrade Bui Thanh Nam - Vice Chairman of the University Council, holds the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2025 - 2030 term; Comrade Hoang Anh Tuan - Principal, holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term; Comrade Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal, holds the position of Head of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress highly agreed with the content of the political and election reports at the Congress.

In his closing speech at the congress, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2025-2030 term Bui Thanh Nam emphasized that the voting results on the basic contents of the Report and the targets of the Resolution submitted to the Congress showed the consensus and high determination of the participating delegates; affirming a deep belief in the leadership of the Party, especially the leadership of the Party Committee of Hanoi National University and Party Committees at all levels.

Party Secretary Bui Thanh Nam affirmed that after the Congress, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will develop a full-term program of activities and specialized resolutions, and at the same time lead and direct the implementation of key tasks and targets that the Congress has resolved.

For Party cells, it is necessary to proactively organize the study and thorough understanding of the Political Report and Resolution of the Congress, widely propagate the achievements and results of the Congress, arouse the determination, belief and sense of responsibility of all cadres, civil servants and students towards the Party and the development of the school, and at the same time deploy specific work plans for effective implementation.

Inheriting the precious tradition of the Party Committee of the University, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term XXIX, will continue to strengthen solidarity and unanimity, promote the spirit of responsibility, proactiveness and creativity to well implement the Party's policies and resolutions and assigned tasks.
