On the morning of December 26, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Ninh Binh province held its 4th Congress of Delegates for the 2023-2028 term.
Attending the Congress were comrade Nguyen Hoang Ha, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of provincial departments, agencies, and organizations; leaders of districts and cities; representatives of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Thai Binh, Ha Nam, and Nam Dinh provinces.
In the 2018-2023 term, with the attention, leadership and direction of the Central Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the districts and cities, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin at all levels in the province has strived to overcome many difficulties, closely following the Resolution of the Congress, implementing all aspects of work, basically completing the tasks and targets set out.
Accordingly, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin at all levels has actively taken care of building an increasingly strong Association. At the same time, it has done a good job of advising local Party committees and authorities, closely coordinating with relevant departments, branches and organizations to carry out propaganda, mobilization, receiving and decentralizing social resources to effectively carry out the task of caring for and helping Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin. During the term, over 116,000 Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin were given gifts on holidays and Tet; supported to build charity houses; borrowed capital to invest in production; examined, treated and given free medicine... with a total value of nearly 34 billion VND.
With the theme "Solidarity, affection, responsibility, towards victims - Active, innovative, building a strong Association, successfully completing the tasks assigned by the Party and State", for the 2023-2028 term, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin has set specific targets: Every year, 100% of Association organizations complete their tasks, of which 60% or more complete their tasks well, with no weak organizations; each District and City Association develops 5-10% of members; 100% of Association officials are trained and fostered in professional skills. Continue to mobilize and receive social resources each year in the province reaching 6 billion VND or more. Strive by 2025, there will be no more households of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin with dilapidated houses; every year, 16 or more households will receive interest-free production capital; 100% of Agent Orange victims receive gifts on the occasion of Lunar New Year and "Day for Vietnamese Agent Orange victims" on August 10 every year...
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Ninh Binh province, term IV, 2023 - 2028, consisting of 16 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Duc Du was elected by the Congress as Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of the province for the term 2023-2028.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for their outstanding achievements in building and developing the Association for the 2018-2023 term.
