Promoting the spirit of vanguard, responsibility and creativity of the youth, in the 2019-2024 term, the work of the Association and the youth movement of Thanh Hoa province has achieved proud achievements and marks. One of the most typical marks is that the Association at all levels has done a good job of educating political ideology and revolutionary traditions for young people, thereby helping the young generation have conditions to practice, mature and live with ideals.

Faced with the great attention, care and expectations of the Party and the State, more than ever, today's youth generation is shouldering the historical responsibility of becoming a workforce with high intelligence and skills, with ethics and a clean lifestyle to contribute with the Party and the People to soon turn the province into an advanced, model province. From that awareness, Thanh Hoa youth are always proactive and volunteer in all fields, for the community, social security...

Implementing revolutionary action movements and programs to accompany young people, many vibrant and widespread emulation activities have been effectively organized and implemented. In particular, implementing the Thanh Hoa youth volunteer movement for community life, the Youth Union at all levels has presented 191,768 gifts with a total value of nearly 67.6 billion VND to policy families, poor households, and children in difficult circumstances; mobilized 50,798 union members and young people to donate blood, collecting 30,289 units of safe blood; organized 254 consultation sessions, medical examinations, and free medicine distribution for 35,980 people. Environmental protection activities and climate change response have been widely deployed.

Implementing the program of accompanying young people to start a business, the Union at all levels has played a good role in supporting and helping young people on the path to self-employment and career establishment. In particular, the work of consulting, career guidance and job introduction for young people has been widely deployed through the forms of job consultation and introduction days; job exchange floors. During the term, more than 27,000 union members and young people received career guidance; 27 youth economic development clubs were established; 116 businesses and business establishments owned by young people were newly established.

The work of building and developing the Youth Union organization has received special attention. The work of expanding the youth solidarity front has been focused on, through strengthening the organization, improving the activities and promoting the role of member organizations of the Youth Union at all levels; focusing on supporting ethnic minority youth and religious youth in building economic development models. During the term, the Union at all levels has developed 55,930 new members, bringing the total number of youth members to 496,275, the youth solidarity rate reaching 78.9%.

Confident in the new term

In the 2024-2029 term, with the slogan "Thanh Hoa Youth - Solidarity - Pioneer - Aspiration - Dedication", the Vietnam Youth Union of Thanh Hoa province strives to complete 10 key targets, which are: 100% of cadres, members and 90% of young people study, thoroughly understand and propagate the resolutions of the Party, Youth Union, Association and policies and laws of the State. Every year, 100% of the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels organize activities to preserve and promote national cultural identity. Over 1 million members and young people participate in volunteer activities organized by the Union at all levels; 350,000 young people have access to digital capacity building activities. During the term, 50,000 new members will be developed; 300 Youth Union organizations, teams, and groups will be established in enterprises...

To achieve the set targets, the Association has proposed 3 key solutions associated with 10 specific solutions, in which the focus is on the Association at all levels continuing to promote the effective implementation of emulation movements, especially responding to digital transformation activities, applying digital technology in real life and improving digital capacity for youth and children. Implement movements, programs, and activities to inspire, encourage, and motivate young people to improve their spirit of self-study and creativity; promote and support youth's start-up, career, and economic development activities. Focus on implementing the campaign "Building a beautiful image of Thanh Hoa youth in the new era". Promote and support start-up, career, and work skills training, professional training for young people; Focus on finding, supporting, developing, replicating effective and sustainable models and methods, supporting creative ideas of young people in starting a business into practice... Thereby, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks, contributing to the cause of building Thanh Hoa to soon become an industrial province in a modern direction.

Promoting the unique strengths of each locality, building a strong Association from the grassroots level

Speaking at the Congress, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Vietnam Youth Union of Thanh Hoa province.

He emphasized: The 13th National Party Congress has clearly stated the aspiration of our entire nation, which is for Vietnam to become a developed, high-income country with a socialist orientation by 2045. Resolution No. 58 of the Politburo has also determined the vision for 2045, Thanh Hoa will be a rich, civilized and modern province; a comprehensively developed and exemplary province of the whole country.

Overview of the Congress

In order for Thanh Hoa youth to contribute their efforts to realize those goals, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy suggested:

In the next term, the Association needs to continue implementing the movement "I love my Fatherland"; choosing a number of breakthrough and specific solutions suitable to the actual conditions of the locality and unit, in which the youth is the center and subject of the movement.

Focus on and be determined to increase the application of technology and digital transformation in the implementation of the work of the Association and the youth movement of the province. To implement this content, the Vietnam Youth Union of Thanh Hoa province needs to focus on clarifying and doing the right nature of digital transformation, different from the simple digitalization process, in which building big data about youth and equipping digital capacity for youth are key issues. Therefore, technology products are just the beginning; the important thing is to change the mindset, thinking, and actions of the association officials and youth.

It is necessary to study effective solutions to promote the mindset and skills of entrepreneurship among young people. With the goal of 2030, Thanh Hoa will be one of the major centers of the North Central region and the whole country in the energy industry and processing and manufacturing; high value-added agriculture; logistics services, tourism, education and training, specialized healthcare and culture and sports; a new growth pole together with Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh forming a development quadrangle in the North of the country. Therefore, the task of promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship, the desire to start a business, the spirit of creativity, the desire to create needs to be promoted by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union and all levels of the Union. This will be an important foundation for young people to affirm their youth and intelligence, and participate in solving many important issues in the development of the province.

Continuously expand the solidarity front, gather youth and build a strong Association, especially focusing on gathering and uniting religious youth, ethnic youth, and working youth. Continue to build and develop the core force among ethnic and religious youth, to promptly grasp information and public opinion, proactively provide orientation information, create trust of youth in the Association; thereby building forces and contributing to building the great national unity bloc.

Speaking at the Congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Lai The Nguyen emphasized: The Party Committee, Government and People of all ethnic groups in the province have been striving to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, striving to "be among the leading provinces in the country by 2025 and become a modern industrial province by 2030". That task is both a requirement and demand of the Party Committee and People of all ethnic groups in the province, and at the same time places a great responsibility on cadres, members and youth of the province.

To contribute to realizing the above goals, along with the synchronous and comprehensive implementation of the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for youth work for the 2024-2029 term stated in the Political Report submitted to the Congress, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the Association should focus on a number of key tasks:

Firstly, do a good job of propagating and educating patriotism and revolutionary traditions for the young generation; regularly grasp the ideological situation and orient the youth, be steadfast and absolutely loyal to the Party's leadership, uphold patriotism, self-reliance and self-strengthening; build a generation of youth with noble ideals, who know how to nurture dreams, ambitions and a desire to contribute and mature; have a sense of law compliance, live a cultured and loyal life; transform and innovate to acquire knowledge, science and technology and keep up with the development trends of the times; be proactive in going to difficult places, dare to take on difficult tasks, be ready to overcome all challenges, together with all levels, sectors and people of all walks of life to build an increasingly developed homeland. Focus on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style through specific and practical actions, being a shining example for the young generations to follow.

Second, closely following the political tasks of the province and each locality and unit, continuing to promote volunteer emulation movements to arouse and promote the vanguard role of young people, creating a strong, continuous, comprehensive revolutionary action movement, participating in socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security, ensuring social order and safety, traffic safety; voluntarily participating in preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, epidemics, environmental sanitation; solving pressing problems of the community; worthy of the belief that "wherever needed, there are young people, wherever difficult, there are young people", creating a training environment, forming an elite youth class in all fields, affirming the role in the cause of building and protecting the homeland and the country.

Third, continue to strongly innovate the organizational model, content and operation methods of the Association, aiming to expand the solidarity front, gather young people, especially young people in industrial parks, enterprises, ethnic and religious youth, to meet the needs and legitimate interests of young people; promote the strength of youth, the great potential of young people to participate in socio-economic development, improve people's lives, build a rich, civilized and modern homeland Thanh Hoa. Take care of training and fostering a team of cadres at all levels of the Association with capacity, courage, enthusiasm, intelligence, knowledge and skills in organizing and mobilizing young people, truly being pioneers to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period, especially grassroots cadres.

Fourthly, immediately after the Congress, the Youth Union at all levels in the province needs to organize dissemination and propaganda, urgently develop and issue action programs to concretize the Congress Resolution; propose comprehensive, focused and key tasks and solutions; organize practical and effective revolutionary action movements to bring the resolution into life soon, make achievements to celebrate major events and anniversaries of the homeland and country, especially the Party Congress at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

On this occasion, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union to continue to pay more attention, lead, direct, support and help so that the work of the Association and the Thanh Hoa youth movement can develop more strongly in the coming time, contributing to the overall development of the whole province.

In recent years, digital transformation activities of Thanh Hoa youth have been extremely diverse and rich, reflecting in all areas of life. Up to now, digital transformation that Thanh Hoa youth are focusing on is in 3 main areas: Digital transformation to serve society, to serve the people; digital transformation to serve professional work, production - business, study, scientific research; digital transformation to serve youth movement activities.

The most prominent of these is digital transformation to serve society and the people. With 3,899 community digital transformation teams at the grassroots level in the province, they have actively contributed to supporting people to access e-Government and implement online public services. In addition, there are outstanding models such as: Food map and cashless streets of Thanh Hoa city youth; smart tourism youth project using virtual reality of Sam Son city youth... These are strong impressions of the role and actions of youth in digital transformation to serve social life.

To further promote the role and responsibility of youth, and continue to take strong action in the digital transformation process, we youth need to make efforts and be steadfast in the goal of implementing digital transformation. For youth organizations across the province, especially at the grassroots level, it is necessary to continue to promote the digital transformation movement in their units. Higher-level youth organizations should study forms of propaganda, dissemination, replication, or assign specific digital transformation targets to affiliated units.

Along with that, it is possible to implement movements such as collecting old smartphones, computers... to give to people, students and pupils in difficult circumstances, especially in rural and mountainous areas, helping to narrow the gap in digital technology and build an inclusive digital society, and also helping to avoid waste and reduce electronic waste. At the same time, continue to promote the movement to support the opening of free bank accounts, helping to further promote the trend of cashless payments. In particular, young people in the state management agencies can register and become a digital transformation ambassador, thereby supporting, answering questions, and guiding people to have easier access to online public administrative procedures.

On the part of management agencies, it is necessary to pay attention to supporting the removal of difficulties and obstacles in legal regulations for administrative records, promoting digital transformation among youth at the grassroots level. A feasible direction is to research and integrate additional features of document processing, digital signature and voting according to account identification on the Vietnam Youth application. This is both a solution to remove difficulties in administrative procedures and contributes to bringing the Vietnam Youth application into life.

Thanh Hoa youth live beautifully, live usefully, volunteer for life

Born and raised in a poor land, witnessing the difficult circumstances of the people and children, with a love for humanitarian work, teacher Pham Thanh Huyen (Ngoc Lac) organized many volunteer activities. In 2018, after following volunteer groups in Quan Son and Muong Lat districts, seeing that people and children in the mountainous areas of Thanh Hoa province were in very difficult circumstances, Ms. Huyen thought about doing something to support those in need. After that, she founded the Ngoc Lac blood donation club. At first, the club's activities also faced many difficulties, but with the help of local authorities and young people, the activities were gradually implemented effectively. Since its establishment, the club has carried out about 500 volunteer and humanitarian activities such as: donating blood at hospitals, organizing warm winter programs, volunteer spring, I love my country, Mid-Autumn Festival for you... with the participation of thousands of volunteers. Along with that, the club has actively implemented many activities to support the community and people in difficult circumstances affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters, storms and floods. For example, during the recent flood caused by storm No. 3, the club had many timely support activities for people in difficult areas affected by storms and floods so that they could soon stabilize their lives. Through these activities, the club has supported thousands of people in difficult circumstances in the province, especially in mountainous areas. Recently, the club has established the Muong Lat Children's Feeding Project. The project has contributed to sharing with nearly 1,500 highland students more adequate and full meals, to overcome difficulties and poverty on the journey to find knowledge.

Promoting the spirit of humanitarianism and charity and wishing to spread the spirit of humanitarianism in the community, Ms. Huyen hopes that young people will always promote the spirit of mutual love, helping each other, actively participating in activities for the community and for a kind Vietnam.

Thanh Hoa Youth Pioneers in Innovative Startups

Starting a business is a difficult and arduous journey, and certainly on this journey there will be obstacles and frictions. Therefore, before starting a business, youth union members need to determine the direction and goals they set.

The focus is on a number of issues such as, do customers really need what I do? Can I do it better than others? Can others copy what I do?

Next, you have to find a partner. The partners are either shareholders or employees in your company, or they can be advisors.

In addition, capital is also a very important issue when starting a business. Currently, Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union have organized many startup competitions, which are opportunities for young union members to access capital in their startup journey.

Finally, to start a successful business, youth union members need to overcome failure. The most important thing is to know what you learn – what you can extract from the lessons of failure.

In the coming time, to continue to promote and inspire, spread the desire for entrepreneurship and innovation among youth union members, Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union needs to be more active in organizing talk shows and training sessions on the topic of entrepreneurship, attracting a large number of youth union members who are passionate about entrepreneurship in the province to participate. At the same time, it is necessary to coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and other provinces and cities to effectively implement promotion programs, exchange goods between businesses, increase opportunities for connection, learning as well as output for products of businesses owned by youth union members.
