The 3rd Congress of Delegates of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An Province

With the motto "All activities are directed towards martyrs' relatives", the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province organized the 3rd Congress of Delegates, term 2024 - 2029. Attending were comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Overview of the Congress.

Nghe An experienced long and arduous resistance wars and had tens of thousands of heroic and outstanding people sacrifice their lives. Of the 45,000 martyrs, there are still nearly 20,000 martyrs whose identities have not been determined or who do not have enough information.

During the past term, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has focused on strengthening both its organization and apparatus; and has called on and mobilized businesses to contribute more resources to support the relatives of martyrs. Accordingly, during the term, the Association has supported the construction of gratitude houses, given savings books, presented gifts to beneficiaries, and upgraded martyr cemeteries with a total amount of more than 22.7 billion VND.

Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and commended the achievements as well as the contributions of the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in the past term.

Praising the achievements and contributions of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in the province during the past term, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Nghia Hieu requested the Association to continue to propagate the policies of the Party and State towards war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services; Strengthen coordination with functional agencies to identify the identities of martyrs with incomplete information; Continue to search for the remains of martyrs to bring them back to their hometowns for burial; Regularly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of people with meritorious services, make recommendations to competent agencies to promptly resolve related issues, ensuring the rights of people with meritorious services....

Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province with a banner bearing the words "Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province - Solidarity, construction and development for the cause of gratitude to heroic martyrs".

On behalf of the delegation, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the Association and Mr. Ho Duc Thanh - Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province.

The congress elected an executive committee for the 2024-2029 term consisting of 39 comrades.

Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs awarded a Certificate of Merit to the collective of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province for their outstanding achievements in gratitude activities and strengthening and building the association organization in the period 2019 - 2024.

Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with outstanding achievements.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Tran Thi Thu Huong awarded Certificates of Merit of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to individuals.

Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs presented the Golden Plaque of Gratitude to 6 individuals of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province who have made positive contributions to the cause of gratitude to martyrs.

In recognition of the results of the past term, the Prime Minister awarded certificates of merit to the Association and 1 individual; the Central Association for Supporting Martyrs' Families awarded certificates of merit to the Association and 14 individuals; and presented a Golden Plaque to honor individuals who have made many contributions to gratitude activities.

Also at the congress, the Provincial People's Committee presented a banner with the words: Nghe An Province Martyrs' Families Support Association "Solidarity, construction and development for the cause of gratitude to heroic martyrs"; The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 2 individuals.

Giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and relatives of martyrs.

Awarded plaques to support the construction of gratitude houses for 13 families of martyrs with a total cost of 680 million VND.

On this occasion, the Central Association supported the families of martyrs in the province and presented gifts to 20 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and relatives of outstanding martyrs; the Central Association, organizations and individuals presented plaques to support the construction of gratitude houses with a total cost of 680 million VND.

The Vietnam Record Association awarded a record certificate to the Nghe An Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs for its achievements in the past 10 years of supporting the construction of more than 500 gratitude houses with more than 30 billion VND.
