Congress of Hoa Binh Newspaper Journalists Association, term 2023

(HBĐT) - On the morning of June 10, the Hoa Binh Newspaper Journalists Association held its 10th Congress for the 2023-2025 term. Attending and directing the Congress was comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Hoa Binh Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association.

The Hoa Binh Newspaper Journalists Association has 34 members. In the 2020-2023 term, the Association focuses on propaganda, education, training, and raising political awareness and professional ethics for members. Gathering, uniting, motivating, and guiding members to promote their intelligence, enthusiasm, and creativity. Training and fostering of journalism skills has made much progress.

The members have a firm political stance and maintain a revolutionary journalism orientation. No members have violated the law, the Press Law, the Association's Charter and professional ethics. During the past term, 6 new members were admitted; 4 members were awarded the Commemorative Medal for the Journalism Career; 4 young members were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Association has chaired and coordinated the organization of 6 professional training courses for over 200 members. Over 100 works by more than 20 members of the Association have won provincial journalism awards. The Association has always achieved comprehensive strength; during the term, it was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The congress unanimously set out 7 main tasks, 7 annual targets, and 5 targets for the 2023-2025 term. In particular, the general direction is to closely follow functions and tasks, strengthen the organization, build solidarity; promote activities and movements, improve the quality of activities, and keep up with the development trend of modern journalism...

Some specific targets include: 100% of members complete their tasks well, of which 20% complete their tasks excellently. Strive to have works that win national journalism awards; no members violate the law, the Charter of the Vietnam Journalists Association, or the ethics of Vietnamese journalists; every year, the Association achieves comprehensive strength...

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Hoa Binh Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, praised the results achieved by the Association in the past term. To successfully complete the tasks of the 2023-2025 term, he suggested: The Association needs to fully understand the role, position, and nature of the profession; encourage the creativity and dedication of its members. Continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; be the pillar of innovative journalism works, create breakthroughs to improve the quality of works and publications of Hoa Binh Newspaper, strive to win national journalism awards. The Congress elected the Branch Secretariat for the 2023 - 2025 term, consisting of 5 comrades; elected the Branch Secretary and Deputy Secretary.
