Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Canh and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Vo Tuan Thong presented awards to the children.
This is also an activity to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025), the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team (May 15, 1941 - May 15, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of the birth of beloved Uncle Ho (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Canh, representatives of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of provincial departments and branches, leaders of the Provincial Youth Union Council through the periods and 200 children delegates who are typical members representing nearly 98 thousand members, teenagers and children in the whole province attended the congress.

Speaking at the congress, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Chairwoman of the Provincial Young Pioneer Council Vo Thi Phuong Dieu informed that in 2007, in response to the campaign "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh", the Central Young Pioneer Council launched among children nationwide the campaign "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings"; in 2015, at the 8th National Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress, the Central Young Pioneer Council launched among children nationwide the movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings".
Through the movement, children have more opportunities to compete in studying, learning, and implementing the five teachings of Uncle Ho; to research and learn about his life, career, and ideology, thereby arousing in children pride in the glorious traditions of the Party and the nation; and to enhance the role and responsibility of the young generation of the country in the new era.
The title "Uncle Ho's Good Children" is a great honor, awarded by the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers to team members with good academic achievements and moral training. This movement is not only a commendation activity but also an opportunity for students to learn and practice following Uncle Ho's example, showing patriotism, national pride, and promising to strive to become good citizens in the future.
Over the years, children in Ben Tre province have actively responded and achieved many proud achievements in emulation movements in studying and training. They have demonstrated the spirit of overcoming difficulties, excelling in studying and following Uncle Ho's 5 teachings in an excellent manner.
The Council of the Young Pioneers at all levels in Ben Tre has focused on propaganda, moraleducation and revolutionary traditions for cadres, young pioneers and children. Many meaningful programs have been implemented, typically more than 1,000 programs "Lighting up the dreams of Ben Tre children" and useful extracurricular activities such as "Learning to be a useful person", "Military semester"...
The sponsor presented a symbolic plaque to support resources to care for children.
In the recent period, more than 60 thousand new team members have been developed, 378 thousand team members have achieved the title of Uncle Ho's Good Children. There are 3.7 thousand children achieving the title of Ben Tre children's model "Uncle Ho's Good Children - Not afraid of difficulties - Creative competition" at the team level and 46 children achieving the title at the provincial level.
At the Congress, the children performed the Congress rituals, watched clips about the process of striving to study, practice, and participate in activities of the young pioneers and children of the province in the past time, and the results achieved in the movement "Ben Tre children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings".
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Canh commended and praised the outstanding achievements of the young pioneers and children of the province in the past time. In the garden of Uncle Ho's Good Children, each child is a bright red "flower", always overcoming difficulties, cultivating qualities and ethics, becoming a shining example for others to follow.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully acknowledged and commended the efforts of the entire political system, teachers, officials in charge of the Young Pioneers, and parents who have always accompanied, cared for, and created the best conditions for the cause of caring for and educating the young generation of the province; especially the Youth Union, the Young Pioneers Council, and the education and training sector have made every effort in all activities for children. Along with that, the Central Youth Union Secretariat and the Central Young Pioneers Council have always paid attention, closely directed, and provided timely support so that the work of caring for and educating children in the province has achieved encouraging results.

I hope that you will continue to make further progress; promote the achievements you have made, continue to write the heroic revolutionary tradition of our ancestors, continue to compete to study well, practice diligently; do many good deeds, so that every child is a good child, good student, good team member, always worthy of being Uncle Ho's Good Children; follow the footsteps of the union members and young people to join hands to build and develop our province to become more civilized and beautiful. At the same time, train a new model of Dong Khoi Children with the qualities of "Ben Tre Children - not afraid of difficulties, competing creatively", Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Canh sent to the children.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Young Pioneer Council continue to perform well their functions and tasks, innovate and improve the quality of activities of the Youth Union - Association - Young Pioneers at all levels to care for and support children's comprehensive development. Youth Union officials, teachers, and Young Pioneers in charge should uphold their sense of responsibility, love for their profession, love for children, educate children to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings, and closely connect with parents and organizations inside and outside the school in the care and education of children, especially vulnerable children and children in difficult circumstances. All sectors, levels, families and schools need to join hands to create a safe and healthy environment for children to develop comprehensively.
On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee commended and rewarded 9 children, the Provincial Youth Union Council commended 41 children with outstanding achievements in implementing the movement of Ben Tre Children competing to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee commended the Youth Union Councils of districts and cities for effectively implementing the movement "Vietnamese Children competing to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" in the locality. The Provincial Youth Union Council awarded certificates of merit to 13 officers in charge and 27 teachers who were outstanding Youth Union leaders.
The Provincial People's Committee awarded a certificate of merit to Dr. Ho Minh Son - Director of the Institute of Market Research - International Communications - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Enterprise and Farm Magazine for actively contributing material to organize the Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Canh and Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Vo Van Be Hai presented flowers to congratulate children attending the upcoming National Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress.
At the congress, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund - Club "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa 2024 - 2025 school year awarded 90 scholarships and 2 Compassionate Arms scholarships, totaling 102 million VND; Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper and International Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (IDP) presented 200 cartons of Kun milk to children.
