Dong A University hosts first international conference on artificial intelligence and responsible data science

DNVN - On October 22, the international conference series on Smart Life EAI 2024: The Era of Artificial Intelligence officially took place at Dong A University.

The EAI 2024 conference series took place on October 22-23, co-hosted by the International Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science of the University of East Asia (IAD) and the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI). At the same time, the opening sessions of the first international conference on responsible artificial intelligence and data science (RAIDS) and the 11th international conference on mobility, Internet of Things and smart cities (MobilityIoT) also took place.

The first international conference on RAIDS is part of a collaboration initiative between the IAD Institute, Dong A University and Gemtex-Ensait, University of Lille (France) through the establishment of the International Chair in DS&XAI - "International Chair in Data Science and Explainable Artificial Intelligence" located at Dong A University.

This is also the 10th international conference on artificial intelligence and data science organized by Dong A University in collaboration with research institutes, universities, organizations, scientists and experts at home and abroad.

The RAIDS conference took place in both in-person and online formats at Vietnamese and international locations. Of which, 29 thematic reports were presented by experts from 7 countries around the world: France, UK, Germany, USA, Canada, China and Vietnam. At the same time, the conference also attracted the attention of many scholars from research institutes, university lecturers, and students from faculties specializing in artificial intelligence and data science (AI&DS).

Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet – Vice President of Dong A University said that the conference is part of the continuous effort to connect the academic community with businesses and society, ensuring that AI is applied responsibly and effectively. Discussions focused on the applications of AI in solving global challenges and improving the quality of life around the world.

Also within the framework of the international conference series “Smart Life EAI 2024: The Era of Artificial Intelligence”, the 11th international conference on mobility, Internet of Things and Smart Cities (MobilityIoT) with 7 reporting sessions by international experts was also held in parallel on October 22-23 at Dong A University.

Within the framework of the program, the international expert delegation also visited the artificial intelligence model system, rehabilitation practice rooms, smart medical research rooms, automation laboratories, etc. being invested and operated at Dong A University.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet, the international scientific conference on artificial intelligence and data science is an annual forum held at Dong A University, expected to become a space for connecting and exchanging interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scientific knowledge, sharing diverse aspects that shape new directions and promote sustainable development of AI and IoT solutions. At the same time, it will form and promote cooperation projects in research and technology development between universities and research institutes in countries in the field of artificial intelligence and data science.
