Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, praising BUV's efforts, British Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew affirmed: “This expansion not only improves the quality of training but also strengthens the deep and growing relationship between the UK and Vietnam in the field of education.
It is also great to see the University of London continue to commit to recognizing BUV as one of the few international partners globally. This is not only a recognition of the prestigious quality of British University Vietnam, but also reinforces the University’s pioneering position in providing world-class education in Vietnam.”
According to Nguyen Tien Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Training, the event is even more meaningful in the context that the Government has been determined to promote the internationalization of education, attract foreign investment and international cooperation in the field of education, and at the same time encourage universities to invest in both facilities and international standard teaching staff, and expand international training programs right in Vietnam to meet the demand for training high-quality human resources for the country's "rising" era.

Sharing at the ceremony, Prof. Raymond Gordon - Principal and President of BUV said that the 5-star standard campus that is constantly expanding is one of the University's commitments in providing a British educational environment that aims to create practical impact, fully equipping students with skills and knowledge for their success.
Professor Raymond Gordon also said that BUV expects to continue expanding phase 3, increasing teaching capacity to 10,000 students, with a total investment expected to reach 165 million USD by 2028.

Phase 2 of the BUV campus at Ecopark started construction in August 2022, with an investment capital of up to 33 million USD. The total floor area is 16,300 m2, including the Student Center, Food Court, and more than 100 classrooms and function rooms.
With Phase 1 invested with 52 million USD and achieving international 5-star QS standards, BUV's campus can meet the needs of 5,500 Vietnamese and international students.

The complex includes five complex buildings inspired by famous British castles, including Arundel Castle, Belfast Castle, Cardiff Castle, Dover Castle, and Edinburgh Castle.
The ratio of construction area to landscape area of the campus reaches 20%, showing priority for green and open space, establishing a high-quality learning and operating environment.
BUV's curriculum is systematically designed, always updated with the latest industry trends, focusing on the seamless integration of theory and practice, ensuring that 100% of students have jobs or continue their studies within three months of graduation.

Also at the ceremony, BUV received the EDGE Advanced Certification for Phase 2, following the Phase 1 certification in November 2024. EDGE is an international green building certification developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) - a member of the World Bank (WB).
BUV continues to affirm its commitment to sustainable development, being the first university in Vietnam to receive this certificate, aiming to become a pioneer university in reducing carbon emissions to 0 for the operational phase.
