Bounce, a US-based global luggage storage company, has just released its annual ranking of the world's best airlines, according to Hong Kong newspaper SCMP .

Bounce analyzed data from the world's 52 largest airlines based on total departures in 2022. The company rated the airlines based on 10 factors: on-time arrivals, cancellation rates, total flights, free carry-on baggage, free domestic checked baggage, free international checked baggage, meals, in-flight entertainment, seat comfort, and staff service.

Below is a list of the 10 best airlines according to the ranking criteria:

Japan Airlines with a total score of 8.28 was awarded the title of the world's best airline. Singapore Airlines, another Asian airline, ranked second. It was followed by Qatar Airways, Korea Air, Vistara (India), All Nippon Airways (Japan), Ethiopian Airlines, Air India, Azul Airlines (Brazil), Emirates.

Vietnam Airlines tied for 10th place with Emirates with a total score of 5.16/10; meals 3/5; in-flight entertainment 2/5; comfortable seats 3/5; staff service 3/5.

Commenting on Vietnam Airlines, SCMP said that the airline was certified as a 4-star airline by the airline rating site Skytrax. On the customer review site Skytrax, the airline was rated 6/10 points from 674 different reviews by passengers.

In the list of 52 best airlines in the world, another representative of Vietnam, Vietjet Air, ranked 41st.
