EU High Representative visits the Museum of Fine Arts and enjoys Vietnamese Bac Xiu coffee

This afternoon, July 30, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Vice President of the European Commission (EC), High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell Fontelles visited the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, admired national treasures and enjoyed Bac Xiu coffee.

The activity took place within the framework of Mr. Josep Borrell Fontelles' official visit to Vietnam from July 29 to 31.

Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and EU High Representative Josep Borrell listen to an introduction to the lacquer painting "Uncle Ho in the Viet Bac resistance base" by Duong Bich Lien. The work was recognized as a "National Treasure" by the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2017.

EU High Representative Josep Borrell admired Nguyen Gia Tri's Screen from the collection of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, consisting of eight panels, displaying two large paintings. One side shows the painting "Girl in the Garden", the other side shows the painting "Landscape". The work was recognized as a "National Treasure" by the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2017.

Mr. Josep Borrell observed and expressed special impressions on the work "Two young women and a baby" by author To Ngoc Van.

Immediately afterwards, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, High Representative of the European Union Josep Borrell, Vietnamese Ambassador to the EU Nguyen Van Thao and EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier chatted in the courtyard of the Museum of Fine Arts.

After that, he also enjoyed a popular drink among young Vietnamese people, which is orange lemongrass honey tea.

Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son drank coffee and chatted with High Representative of the European Union Josep Borrell.
