With a spirit of frankness and responsibility, the ministers and heads of relevant sectors answered questions from the National Assembly deputies, clearly stating the policies of the Party and Government, the responsibilities of the ministries in performing their tasks and solutions to resolve issues of concern to the deputies and voters.
Questioning the Government Inspector General, delegate Lo Thi Luyen, National Assembly Delegation of Dien Bien province raised the issue: Report No. 288/BC-CP dated May 27, 2024 of the Government stated that the process of reviewing legal documents in the field of citizen reception, the field of complaints and denunciations has not discovered any difficulties, inadequacies and shortcomings, limitations that need to be proposed for amendments and supplements. Request the Government Inspector General to inform whether the above review results include the existing contents, limitations and proposed amendments and supplements to the Law on Citizen Reception, the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations and the implementing guidance documents stated in the supervision report No. 334/BC-DGS of the supervision delegation of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the attached appendices or not? How has the Government Inspectorate received and resolved the recommendations after supervision in the above report?
Responding to questions, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong said: The Government Inspectorate has advised the Government to report on the review of legal documents in the field of citizen reception, complaints and denunciations. Regarding the content of the study proposing that competent authorities issue legal documents regulating the review of decisions on handling administrative complaints that have come into effect and are found to have violations, the National Assembly Standing Committee requested the Government to study and amend the content that is not in accordance with the Law on Complaints and ensure consistency. Accordingly, the Government has reported and proposed to the National Assembly Standing Committee in the chapter on amending and supplementing the Law on Complaints to allow the Government to maintain the provisions on the final settlement of outstanding complaints and denunciations, contributing to stabilizing security and order. At the same time, the Government Inspectorate has advised the Government to issue a decree regulating a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Complaints. Regarding the recommendations after supervision, the Government Inspectorate has issued a plan to implement and coordinate with central and local ministries, branches to conduct research on the authority to issue legal documents and resolve citizens' recommendations and feedback.
