Delegates of the 14th Provincial People's Council met with voters of Quang Yen town before the regular year-end meeting

To prepare for the 23rd Session - the regular session at the end of 2024 of the Provincial People's Council, on the morning of November 12, the comrades of the Provincial People's Council Delegation in Quang Yen Town had a meeting with voters of the town.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Hoi, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and delegate of the Provincial People's Council, briefly informed about the socio-economic development results in 2024 and expected key tasks and major tasks in 2025 of the province.

He said that the 23rd Session is a regular year-end session, expected to review and discuss many issues as well as reports, submissions, draft resolutions... related to people's lives.

In 2024, in addition to favorable conditions, Quang Ninh also encountered unexpected difficulties. Specifically, storm No. 3 (Yagi) - a super storm that made landfall in the province caused heavy damage of over 28,000 billion VND; in which Quang Yen town also suffered heavy losses in both economic and social terms. However, Quang Ninh promptly overcame the consequences of the storm, quickly stabilized the people's situation, promoted the recovery of production and business, actively promoted economic growth and policies to support people and businesses, and achieved comprehensive results in all fields.

Delighted and excited about the achievements of the province, voters of Quang Yen town also proposed and recommended a number of issues related to the implementation of Resolution No. 34/2024 of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province on the regulation of titles, policies for part-time workers at commune, village, hamlet, and neighborhood levels and policies for people directly participating in activities at the grassroots level; it is necessary to apply the Law on Animal Husbandry in residential areas to minimize environmental pollution; have strict management measures in agricultural production so that people can enjoy clean products; have solutions to upgrade the old section of Road 18 (Van Trieu Road) to meet travel needs as well as ensure the urban criteria of the city in the future; in the land acquisition and clearance work, there should be support policies and priorities for families of people with meritorious services who are affected; The Provincial People's Council reviews the care regime for people with meritorious services every year, inspects and checks the papers of people with meritorious services to avoid taking advantage of the humanitarian policies of the Party and State for personal gain; requests the province to pay attention to investing in upgrading the Quang Yen sea dyke system, especially the degraded dyke in Dong Bai area; continues to upgrade the Bach Dang historical relic cluster...

After listening to the opinions and recommendations of voters at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Hoi, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and a delegate of the Provincial People's Council, explained and clarified a number of contents related to the province's jurisdiction. Some opinions are under the jurisdiction of departments, branches, and the Provincial People's Council Delegation has recorded and accepted them to send to competent authorities for resolution according to regulations.
