City People's Council delegates met with voters at their place of residence to prepare for the regular year-end session of the 16th City People's Council in Vinh Niem ward, Le Chan district.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of November 15, in Vinh Niem ward (Le Chan district), delegates of the City People's Council including comrades: Pham Van Lap, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; Dao Trong Duc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; Dang Ba Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Bui Duc Quang, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Vu Duy Tung, member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Transport met with voters at their place of residence to prepare for the regular meeting at the end of 2024.

At the meeting, voters of Vinh Niem ward highly appreciated the activities of the City People's Council for the 2021-2026 term, including timely issuance of many Resolutions to serve the city's socio -economic development and meet people's expectations.

Voters specifically proposed a number of local issues, requesting that the City People's Council delegates consider and send their opinions to the City People's Committee to direct competent authorities to respond and resolve, such as: naming streets, installing lighting, handling floods; promptly solidifying drainage ditches in residential groups in the ward, ensuring the living environment of the people; paying attention to, renovating and upgrading the sidewalks of Nguyen Van Linh street to ensure traffic safety and urban aesthetics; changing the purpose of use of the old Cultural House in residential groups after the merger; handling and bundling all kinds of electric wires in residential areas; paying attention to upgrading degraded roads in residential areas...

After listening to voters' opinions and recommendations, on behalf of the City People's Council delegates, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap discussed and informed voters about some main contents of the regular session at the end of 2024, including some timely contents to concretize the instructions of Party and State leaders when visiting and working in Hai Phong as well as implementing new laws and resolutions issued by the National Assembly such as the 2024 Land Law, Resolution No. 1232/2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Hai Phong city in the period of 2023-2025... From there, strive to achieve the highest level of the city's socio-economic development targets in 2025 and deploy mechanisms and policies on attracting human resources and talents; implement social security policies.

Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap respectfully thanked and accepted the enthusiastic, profound, and highly responsible opinions of the representatives of Vinh Niem ward voters to synthesize and classify the opinions that are under the authority of the city and will be sent to the City People's Committee to direct relevant departments and branches to consider and resolve. For opinions that are under the authority of Le Chan district, it is recommended that the local government accept, handle, and resolve them satisfactorily, focusing on implementing the city's policy on building infrastructure facilities such as: Cultural houses, lighting, drainage ditches, etc. to ensure living conditions for Party cells and people after the arrangement and merger of administrative units.
