City People's Council delegates met with voters at their place of residence to prepare for the regular year-end session of the 16th City People's Council in Thuong Ly ward, Hong Bang district.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the evening of November 15, in Thuong Ly ward (Hong Bang district), delegates of the City People's Council including comrades: Le Ngoc Tru, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Hong Bang District Party Committee; Nguyen Hoang Long, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Vinh Bao District Party Committee; Tran Thi Quynh Trang, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the An Duong District Party Committee; Nguyen Van Tuan, Chief of Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the City People's Council; Tran Quang Tuan, Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Major General Luu Xuan Cai, Chairman of the City Veterans Association, met with voters at their place of residence to prepare for the regular meeting at the end of 2024.

At the meeting, voters were informed about the time and content of the meeting; reported on the results of implementing the city's socio -economic development tasks in 2024, tasks and solutions in 2025; and reported on the results of resolving voters' petitions.

Voters of Thuong Ly ward assessed that over the years, the Party and State have paid great attention to policies and regimes for revolutionary activists, even having separate mechanisms and policies for these subjects. In particular, Hai Phong is one of the provinces and cities with the most concerned policies and regimes for those who have contributed to the revolution. The former youth volunteer force has also made significant contributions to the struggle and participation in protecting the Fatherland. Currently, this force is not much left, so voters respectfully request that the city consider paying attention, having special mechanisms for this force and taking care of them on holidays and Tet.

Voters also noted that the city has paid great attention to the issue of urban beautification in the city, especially when constructing public works such as paving the sidewalks of Bach Dang Street and some other streets, gradually burying the power and telecommunication cable systems to ensure the urban beauty of the city. However, there are still some square stepped electric poles manufactured in the 1980s of the last century that still exist and are being used, posing a risk to the safety of the people. Voters respectfully request that the city direct Hai Phong Electricity Company Limited to have a plan to replace the above electric poles.

Voters also requested the city to consider early review, statistics, develop plans and organize the relocation of factories, enterprises, production facilities and warehouses in inner-city districts to concentrated industrial parks and clusters in the city to protect the living environment for the people.
