(GLO)- On the morning of June 1, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Chu A commune (Pleiku city), the delegation of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council led by Mr. Trinh Duy Thuan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Pleiku City as head of the delegation had a meeting with more than 100 voters of the communes: Chu A, An Phu and Thang Loi ward before the regular mid-year meeting of the People's Councils at all levels, term 2021-2026.


At the meeting, representatives of the Provincial People's Council and Pleiku City People's Council informed voters about the results of the 10th, 11th, and 12th sessions of the 12th Provincial People's Council and the 9th session of the 12th City People's Council according to regulations; expected content, program, and time of the 13th session of the 12th Provincial People's Council and the 10th session of the 12th City People's Council; reported to voters about the activities of the delegates and the People's Councils where they ran for election; and the results of responses to voters' opinions and recommendations at previous meetings with voters.

At the same time, disseminate and explain to mobilize people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the Resolutions of People's Councils at all levels, and listen to, collect and synthesize voters' opinions, recommendations and aspirations for the People's Councils and relevant State agencies to reflect at the next session of People's Councils at all levels.

Thereby, voters basically agreed with the contents that were announced, besides, there were 17 voters who made recommendations and proposals on a number of areas such as: Planning management, alley expansion, drainage system, strengthening supervision of road construction quality in Thang Loi ward; the construction of National Highway 19 project passing through An Phu and Chu A communes affecting people's lives; issues of expanding rural roads, upgrading medical stations, village cultural houses, upgrading household electricity systems, lighting, upgrading bridges, dredging canals and difficulties in land conversion, plot division, planning at some points in An Phu and Chu A communes. Besides, it is necessary to pay attention to policies and regimes for civil servants and non-professional cadres at the commune level; changing crop structure, finding outlets for farmers' products...

At the Conference, representatives of People's Council delegations at all levels, representatives of local leaders; leaders of specialized departments and offices and leaders of Pleiku City People's Committee received and responded to voters' opinions and recommendations within their authority and forwarded them to the provincial level for consideration and response to opinions within the province's authority.

Pleiku City Party Secretary Trinh Duy Thuan - Chairman of the City People's Council also answered voters' suggestions and questions at the meeting. Accordingly, the City Party Secretary requested local leaders to directly conduct two meetings with the people every month to solve people's problems right at the grassroots level.

Regarding issues of investment in construction and road expansion, we hope that people will also agree with the local government in donating land and dismantling structures to quickly expand the road. The construction of the residential hall also requires the participation and contribution of people and the mobilization of resources for this to be completed soon. Regarding upgrading, investing in and relocating the power system, the City People's Committee is required to issue a document requesting the Electricity sector to have a clear viewpoint.

Regarding the slow progress of National Highway 19 construction affecting people's lives, the Chairman of the City People's Council acknowledged the opinions of voters and will continue to make recommendations to the Ministry of Transport and the agency managing this project.

Regarding the quality of investment projects, we request that functional sectors and localities, depending on their functions and tasks, pay attention to investment procedures and construction time. At the same time, we hope that the people and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in localities will monitor the quality of the projects and report to relevant agencies or the City Party Committee any issues that are not guaranteed and will be inspected and promptly handled.

Concluding the meeting with voters, the Secretary of the City Party Committee acknowledged and summarized all voters' opinions. For opinions beyond his authority, they will be forwarded to the relevant agencies for resolution in the coming time, with the goal of building Pleiku City to increasingly develop in the right direction and spirit of Resolution XII of the Pleiku City Party Committee.
