This afternoon, March 26, the delegation attending the conference to review the coordination of propaganda work on seas and islands in 2023; signing the coordination plan for propaganda in 2024 between the Navy and 6 central coastal provinces in Quang Tri organized a flower offering ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery, Road 9 National Martyrs Cemetery and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

Rear Admiral Pham Van Luyen, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Navy; Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Political Commissar of Naval Region 3; Head of the Propaganda Department of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Ho Dai Nam; Deputy Head of the Department, Deputy Head of the Standing Office of the Central Propaganda Department of the Central Highlands - Central region Ha Phuoc Thieu; Head of the Propaganda Department of the Da Nang City Party Committee Doan Ngoc Hung Anh; officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 3 Command; delegates from the provinces and cities of Quang Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and delegates from agencies, enterprises, and central and local press reporters attended.

The delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery - the resting place of more than 10,200 martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the Ho Chi Minh trail during the resistance war against the US to save the country; Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery - the resting place of more than 10,000 heroic martyrs who fought and served on the Road 9 front, the Quang Tri battlefield and Laos during the years of the resistance war against the US to save the country.

The delegation also offered flowers and incense at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, paying tribute to the heroic martyrs who fell in the 81-day and night battle in 1972 to protect the Ancient Citadel and Quang Tri town during the resistance war against the US to save the country.

At the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery and the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, delegates respectfully laid wreaths, offered incense and observed a minute of silence to express their deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs, the nation's outstanding sons who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.

The sacrifices of the heroic martyrs have created heroic and indomitable feats, are the pride of the entire nation, and contribute to educating the tradition of revolutionary struggle for today's and tomorrow's young generations.

The delegates pledged to uphold the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", unite and strive to build the homeland and country to become increasingly rich and developed, and improve the people's lives.

At the same time, continue to follow the example of heroic martyrs to excel in work, training, combat readiness and excellently complete all tasks, worthy of the sacrifices of generations of fathers and ancestors for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
