The 2024 Southern Region Typical Rural Industrial Products Exhibition Fair organized by the Department of Industry and Trade ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade of Kien Giang is taking place in Phu Quoc City from October 10 to 16. Notably, at the opening ceremony, the local Department of Industry and Trade awarded trophies and certificates to typical rural industrial products/sets of products in the Southern region in 2024.

It is known that this year, the whole country has 889 typical rural industrial products at the provincial level registered to participate in the regional voting, of which 439 products were recognized (reaching a rate of 49%). For the Southern region, 382 products from 18/20 provinces and cities registered to participate and were recognized by the competent authority with 189 products (accounting for 43% of the total number of recognized products nationwide).

Binh Thuan province alone has 12 recognized products/product sets, including Thai Nguyen Chopsticks and the "Bracelet" product set. The rest belong to the group of agricultural, forestry, aquatic and food processing products: Phan Thiet - Mui Ne Anchovy Fish Sauce Product Set; Thuan Hung Traditional Fish Sauce Product Set; Red Dried Dragon Fruit Product Set - White Dried Dragon Fruit Product Set; Dragon Fruit Flower Tea Product Set - Dried Dragon Fruit Flower; Bao Long Dragon Fruit Juice; Mai Huong 350N Traditional Fish Sauce. In addition, there are Garlic Butter Squid Product Set - Garlic-burnt Mackerel - Fried Peanut Fish with Fish Sauce - Lemon Sauce Mai Fish; Durian Ball Product Set - Dried Green Plum Ball - Dried Yogurt; "Royal Chili Spice" Product Set; Dong Dan Turmeric Essence.

In addition to the individual booths of each province and city, the Organizing Committee of the Fair and Exhibition also designed a common booth to display and introduce all typical rural industrial products of the Southern region in 2024 that have just been honored by the local Department of Industry and Trade... Directly participating in Binh Thuan 's booth, representatives of Hoa Le Clean Dragon Fruit Cooperative (Ham Thuan Bac district) and Thuan Hung Fish Sauce Production Company Limited (Phan Thiet city) were very happy because this was the first time a typical rural industrial product was recognized at the Southern region level. This is also a great source of encouragement and motivation for businesses, production facilities, and cooperatives in Binh Thuan to continue researching and effectively utilizing the abundant local raw materials to increase the economic value of the products. At the same time, we aim to create and produce more new, unique, high-quality products with the typical flavors of the southernmost coastal region of the Central region, thereby meeting the needs of domestic consumption and export in the coming time.
