On the afternoon of September 30, 40 officers and soldiers of the 126th Naval Special Forces Brigade along with specialized vehicles arrived at the scene of the Phong Chau bridge collapse to coordinate with local authorities in searching for missing victims. Among them were 30 "frogmen" special forces, 15 synchronized open diving apparatuses and other safety equipment.

It is expected that tomorrow morning (October 1), the special forces "frogmen" will use diving equipment combined with existing means, closely coordinating with forces at the scene to conduct diving searches in the Phong Chau bridge area.

After the Phong Chau bridge collapse, the rescue team of Phu Tho province found 4 victims and salvaged 1 tractor-trailer; currently 4 victims and 7 vehicles have not been found.

The People's Committee of Phu Tho province has requested the Ministry of National Defense to pay attention and help increase specialized forces to help the province search for missing victims and vehicles as soon as possible.
