Da Nang: Urgent request to implement key real estate projects

DNVN - The Standing Committee of the Da Nang City People's Council requested the City People's Committee to direct relevant departments, branches and sectors to urgently implement key real estate projects in the area.

According to the Office of the National Assembly Delegation - People's Council of Da Nang City, in the context of the Land Law 2024 taking effect from August 1, 2024, the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Da Nang City has consulted with the People's Committee of the City on the implementation of auctions of large land lots in the city and the implementation of auctions for leasing land lots under the Project "Management and exploitation of public land funds managed by the Land Fund Development Center in Da Nang City".

The Standing Committee of the Da Nang City People's Council requested urgent implementation of the key project of the International Fireworks Complex.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City People's Council requested the City People's Committee to direct the review, propose amendments, supplements, and completion of the auction process (including attention to starting prices, plans, appropriate and streamlined auction procedures, planning adjustments, site clearance work, etc.) to smoothly, effectively, and synchronously implement the auction of land use rights in the coming time, ensuring budget revenue from land in the medium-term capital plan for the period 2021 - 2025.

The Standing Committee of the Da Nang People's Council also requested the City People's Committee to direct relevant departments and agencies to urgently implement key projects including: International Fireworks Complex; Hoa Phuoc Wholesale Market; Hoa Xuan Creative Space Project; Hoa Xuan Sports, Entertainment and Commercial Complex Project.

Regarding the auction for lease of land for a limited period under the Project "Management and exploitation of public land funds managed by the Land Fund Development Center in the City", the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Da Nang City requested to implement procedures for short-term land lease according to the Land Law 2024, Decree 102/2024/ND-CP dated July 30, 2024 of the Government. At the same time, study to adjust, supplement or cancel some contents of the Project according to the provisions of current law.

The Standing Committee of the Da Nang City People's Council also requested the City People's Committee to direct the City Land Fund Development Center to coordinate with localities to strengthen the implementation of fencing and cleaning of vacant land plots that have not been put into use to ensure the environment and urban beauty in the area in the coming time.

According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, real estate business services for final consumption in the first 8 months of 2024 decreased by nearly 34% compared to the same period. Although revenue from real estate business activities for final consumption in August improved compared to the previous month, it continued to maintain a downward trend compared to the same period.

The Da Nang Statistics Office expects that in the coming time, the city's real estate market will receive positive developments when at the end of June, the National Assembly passed Resolution 136 on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang City.

“In particular, the National Assembly agreed to establish the Da Nang free trade zone – a model that is not new to the world but is the first in Vietnam. This positive information and positive signals from tourism will increase investors’ interest in Da Nang real estate,” said Tran Van Vu, Director of the Da Nang Statistics Office.
