Da Nang promotes tourism in Chengdu, China

(Fatherland) - The Department of Tourism of Da Nang city organized a program to promote tourism development in Da Nang (Vietnam) in Chengdu (China).

At the program, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang city provided information on destinations, new tourism products, festival events, tourism environment and programs to attract MICE and wedding tourists of Da Nang tourism, and at the same time received information and proposals from tourism units on promoting the reopening of flights from Chengdu - Da Nang and cooperation policies to attract tourists from both sides.

In addition, leaders and tourism businesses of the two localities also discussed and exchanged difficulties and solutions to improve the quality of products and services, meeting the needs and tastes of tourists.

Sharing at the program, Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City Truong Thi Hong Hanh said: "Based on the achievements in the cooperation between the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City and the Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Chengdu in the period of 2018-2023, tourism of the two localities will continue to strengthen cooperation in the new period, focusing on restoring the direct flight route Chengdu - Da Nang, supporting businesses to effectively exploit the source of tourists from both sides, implementing destination promotion and linking tourism development between Da Nang (Vietnam) and Chengdu (China) in the coming time".

The leader of the Chengdu Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism said that in August this year, at the invitation of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, General Secretary and President of Vietnam To Lam paid a state visit to China and held talks. The two sides declared 2025 as the "Year of China-Vietnam Cultural Exchange" and jointly organized a series of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam.
