Da Nang displays more than 70 works of art at the exhibition "Vong"

On the afternoon of April 23, at the Da Nang Museum, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the art exhibition "Vong" with more than 70 works on display.

The event aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), taking place from April 23 to April 26 at the Da Nang Museum.

The exhibition displays more than 70 works by more than 30 artists, painters, and architects with 3 main experiential spaces showing installation art and displaying sketches of typical relics in Da Nang city.

"Vong" exhibition displays more than 70 works of art

In particular, the installation space "Echo of Bài Chòi" is inspired by Bài Chòi art, the work creates 30 cards with familiar traditional materials such as wood, plywood, bamboo and paper.... Each card is covered with modern graphic images, redrawing the characteristic details of each card with an enlarged size.

The interactive space "AR Viewpoint" is inspired by traditional craft villages, tangible and intangible cultural heritages, the exhibition space will vividly recreate the memories and cultural beliefs of the city's people; at the same time, it also depicts the harmony between nature and people of Da Nang.

With the intersection of technology and art, "AR Viewpoint" is not only a place to tell heritage stories, but also a bridge for the public, especially the young, to explore local culture through a contemporary, vivid and emotional perspective.

The third is the space "Da Nang Monuments through sketch perspective" displaying more than 50 sketches with many colors and diverse perspectives, recreating the city's monuments and typical architectural works through many emotions and the imprint of time.

This is not only a place to display art but also an opportunity for the community to enjoy, exchange and share passion; contributing to arousing pride, awareness of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Da Nang City to the community.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ha Vy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang, said that the art exhibition "Vong" is a highlight, hoping to create resonance in the cultural and artistic picture of Da Nang City, interwoven with efforts to honor cultural heritage, preserve original values ​​but not separate from the flow of contemporary life.
