Speaking at the opening ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that in the context of Vietnam's tourism growing strongly, Da Nang has become one of the centers attracting international and domestic tourists.
The boom in tourism has pushed the hotel, restaurant and service industries in the city to constantly improve quality and apply advanced technologies to enhance the experience for visitors. However, to fully exploit the development potential and create sustainable values, we need innovation and close cooperation from many sides.
Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that the HORECFEX Vietnam 2024 event is a great opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and explore breakthrough solutions in the tourism and hospitality sector.
“I hope that the information and innovative ideas shared at the seminars will provide valuable information and be a driving force for innovation and sustainable development of businesses, especially those in Da Nang.
At the same time, it opens up many cooperation opportunities, helping resorts and restaurants in Vietnam to always keep up with changes in the world, together contributing to the overall development of Vietnam's tourism industry in the coming time", the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized.

Vice President of Vietnam Tourism Association, President of Vietnam Hotel Association Do Thi Hong Xoan shared that with 64 years of development, Vietnam is currently considered one of the 10 countries with the most developed tourism industry in the world by the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Vietnam has up to 38,000 accommodation establishments, so the need for advanced technology to develop in the integration period is extremely important.
HORECFEX Vietnam 2024 is the first and largest event on tourism technology held in Da Nang with the expectation of bringing the latest information on the application of innovative technology in the operation of hotels, restaurants, and food service establishments.
Thereby, not only helping service and tourism businesses develop, but also contributing to improving the overall travel experience of visitors to Vietnam, promoting the sustainable development of Vietnam tourism.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Vice President of Vietnam Hotel Association, Founder of HORECFEX Vietnam, Da Nang is not only the center of domestic and international MICE events (tourism combined with conferences, seminars, exhibitions), an ideal resort destination for tourists, but through this event, the organizers hope to contribute to building Da Nang into a center for sharing the focus of leaders in the hospitality tourism industry and providing in-depth training in the tourism - service industry.
It is known that during the two days of the event, there were nearly 50 booths participating in the exhibition, displaying and introducing technology products and service - tourism products; there were 9 seminars with nearly 40 presentations, discussing the application of new technology, digital transformation and hotel industry operations management in the new era.
