Da Nang promotes US cooperation in the fields of semiconductors and digital economy
Da Nang City established a Working Group to promote Da Nang - US cooperation to promote cooperation and attract investment in the fields of human resource development, semiconductor technology, digital economy, and sustainable development.
On June 25, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held the launching ceremony of the Da Nang - US Cooperation Promotion Working Group.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, Mr. Ho Ky Minh affirmed that the Da Nang - US Cooperation Promotion Working Group marks a new step forward in the cooperative relationship between the two sides.
Over the years, the United States has always been an important partner of Da Nang City, in the fields of investment, trade, and education and training.
According to Mr. Ho Ky Minh, the establishment of the Da Nang - US Cooperation Promotion Working Group demonstrates the desire of both sides to promote cooperation, exchange information, and create favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to invest and do business.
Especially in the fields of human resource development, investment promotion, innovation, semiconductor technology, digital economy, green growth, and sustainable development.

The working group also plays an important role in connecting businesses of both sides, supporting the resolution of difficulties and obstacles in the cooperation process, and proposing solutions and directions for effective cooperation in the coming time.
In Da Nang City, there are 82 projects of US investors still in effect, with a total investment capital of more than 831 million USD. The US ranks 3rd out of 45 countries and territories with investment projects in Da Nang, mainly in the fields of tourism, real estate, high technology, and supporting industries.
The United States also supports four ODA projects in Da Nang with a total capital of about 46.59 million USD.
In addition, US NGOs are funding 9 projects in Da Nang. Some of the major projects include: Son Tra District Urban Program sponsored by World Vision International with a budget of 45 billion VND (2020-2022); "Building a Healthy City" project sponsored by East Meets West Foundation with a budget of more than 9.4 billion VND.
