(PLVN) - The giant pine tree on the banks of the poetic Han River has been lit up, officially opening a series of activities to welcome Christmas and New Year 2025 in Da Nang City.
On the evening of December 16, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City organized the program "Lighting the Christmas tree, officially opening the series of activities at the Danang X'mas - New Year Festival 2025".
The 20m high light tree is one of three impressive check-in models at the 2025 Da Nang Christmas and New Year Festival, next to the unique giant gift box and the brilliant Da Nang New Year 2025 lettering.
With sophisticated design and brilliant lighting system, the check-in spaces at this year's Festival are not only ideal stops for locals and visitors to capture memorable moments, but also become attractive symbols, contributing to highlighting the vibrant and warm festival atmosphere of the city.

Participating in the Christmas Tree Lighting Program, residents and visitors will be immersed in unique and vibrant art performances by children, singers, artists and dancers. In particular, the moment the Christmas tree lights up will be the highlight, marking the beginning of a memorable and emotional holiday season.
Here, visitors directly wrote Christmas wishes and welcomed the New Year, creating a space to connect, share joy and send hopes for a peaceful, happy and lucky new year.
The Da Nang Christmas and New Year Festival 2025 will take place for the first time in 20 days (December 14, 2024 to January 2, 2025) at 3 main locations, including: (1) Northern landscape floor, East bank of Dragon Bridge and East bank of Dragon Bridge Park (Tran Hung Dao - Ly Nam De street land); (2) Northern landscape floor, West bank of Dragon Bridge (Opposite VTV8); (3) Southern landscape floor, West bank of Dragon Bridge (Opposite Cham Sculpture Museum) with a series of unique and novel cultural, tourism, entertainment and recreation activities, aiming to enhance the experience and create a special impression for people and visitors in the moment of welcoming the new year 2025.

Parade and cheerleading "Fun with Santa Claus" with the participation of Miss International Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy (20:00 on December 20, 2024) from Bach Dang Walking Street (Bach Dang - Binh Minh 6 intersection) to the Light Pine Tree (Northern landscape floor, West bank of Dragon Bridge (Opposite VTV8);
Fun with Santa Claus program (20:00 on December 24, 2024) at the North landscape floor, East bank of Dragon Bridge; Christmas Market - Welcome New Year 2025 (17:00 - 22:30 from December 20, 2024 - January 2, 2025) at the East bank park of Dragon Bridge (Land on Tran Hung Dao - Ly Nam De street);
