Da Nang opens Reading Culture Festival - Connecting the community

Reading Culture Festival 2025 takes place at APEC Park from April 20 to 27

The event, taking place from April 20 to 27, is a special activity to celebrate the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, along with organizing propaganda activities and celebrating major holidays and important historical events of the country and city in 2025.

The event includes main activities: Exhibition of information resources, photo documents about Da Nang 50 years of formation and development and 95 years of establishment of Da Nang City Party Committee; Exhibition of information resource books to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification; Exhibition of books "Central Highlands with the great victory of Spring 1975" ...

The event took place with many activities to develop reading culture.

In addition, there are also activities to develop reading culture such as: Organizing talk shows, seminars, introducing authors and works; Exchanges with book collectors in Da Nang City; Organizing book promotion contests, storytelling based on books; Launching a movement to support books for libraries, schools, community learning centers, communes, wards, etc.

The festival also attracts the participation of many prestigious publishing and book distribution units across the country, creating a space for connecting bookmakers, book lovers and the community.

In addition, activities such as issuing free library cards, launching book donation campaigns, consulting on library facilities... are organized to raise social awareness about the role of reading culture in the digital age.

Organizing activities to celebrate the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day aims to contribute to implementing the Party and State's policies on developing a reading culture; implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on building and promoting cultural values ​​and the strength of the Vietnamese people. Thereby, affirming the position, role and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, developing thinking, educating and training human personality.

At the same time, encourage and develop the reading movement, create a favorable reading environment, maintain a reading culture in the digital age; promote the spirit of reading in the community, especially among young people.
