Da Nang calls on Thailand to invest in yachts and open more flights

The investment promotion trip of Da Nang City leaders in Thailand has some important contents such as attracting development of the yacht sector and opening new flight routes.

From October 2 to 5, a delegation from Da Nang City led by Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, promoted tourism trade with several localities in Thailand.

At the working sessions between the delegation of Da Nang City leaders and the leaders of Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Bangkok, and Phuket provinces, all parties agreed and wished to promote friendly relations and cooperation according to previous memorandums of understanding.

Based on the potential and advantages of each locality, Da Nang City wishes to open new flight routes to continue promoting the development of Da Nang - Thailand tourism as well as connecting neighboring areas.

Da Nang City leaders also worked and discussed many important issues with the Bangkok Yacht Association and the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong shared that Da Nang City has many potentials and advantages in developing river and sea tourism, prioritizing attracting investment in marinas, shipbuilding facilities, and the yacht industry.

From now until 2025, Da Nang City plans to develop two areas on the Han River to attract investment in marinas at Song Thu Port (old) and Nhu Nguyet Street, both on land and water, to develop high-quality tourism and services, meeting the needs of the high-end customer segment.

In particular, after Lien Chieu port is put into operation, Tien Sa port will gradually change its function into a tourist port, capable of welcoming super yachts and large-scale cruise ships.

Representatives of the Bangkok Yacht Association also expressed interest in inland waterway, bay and sea tourism in Da Nang; affirming that this is a new field of Da Nang City , with a lot of room and opportunities for partners to participate in investment.
