On May 8, the Supervisory Delegation of the People's Council of Da Nang City had a working session with the Department of Planning and Investment of the City on implementing policies to support businesses in Da Nang.
According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Da Nang City, the City is implementing 38 central support policies and 17 specific local policies.
Recently, many practical policies have been issued to meet the needs of businesses, such as policies on capital, interest rates, taxes, fees, etc., thereby promptly supporting businesses to overcome difficulties, restore and expand production and business.
However, the implementation of business support policies still faces difficulties and limitations. Some policies are not effective and not many businesses have benefited from them.
In addition, some policies have been implemented late, leading to a lack of timely relief for businesses; regulations for support are complicated, with many procedures and strict criteria that make businesses ineligible to access. During the policy implementation process, some support contents are no longer suitable for practice or no longer suitable for regulations.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Phuoc Son, Standing Vice Chairman in charge of the People's Council of Da Nang City, proposed reviewing the business support policies currently being implemented in the City.
Accordingly, which policies of the Central Government are being applied, what is the level of benefit of enterprises, are there any shortcomings, what adjustments need to be recommended? The City's specific support policies also need to be reviewed and specifically evaluated.
Mr. Tran Phuoc Son suggested that, based on reviewing and evaluating business support policies, it is necessary to propose that the City People's Council issue a new policy integrating policies targeting small and medium-sized enterprises, which account for 98% in Da Nang.
This is a policy covering support activities for small and medium enterprises, from interest rate support, technology, human resource development, innovation, conversion from household businesses to enterprises... Besides, there are policies for rural agricultural areas (cooperatives, ocop products).
Regarding the interest rate support policy, Mr. Tran Phuoc Son suggested focusing on businesses in industries that are suitable for the city's development orientation such as high technology, semiconductor chips; social infrastructure investment projects...
