Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh has just requested the construction unit to continue to focus on human and material resources to ensure the construction of the Quang Da Bridge Project and the bridge approach road on schedule, striving to carry out technical traffic opening by March 29, 2025.

Mr. Vinh emphasized that this is an important project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang city as well as to connect the two localities of Da Nang - Quang Nam.

The Quang Da Bridge and approach road project has a total investment of more than 274 billion VND. Currently, Da Nang still has 5/156 files that have not signed the land handover minutes. Of which, within the main road, there are only two files remaining on the frontage of National Highway 14B.

On the Quang Nam side, there are 11 files for bridge construction clearance, and the site has been handed over. In addition, there are five files (agricultural land) for clearance to build a connecting ramp to restore the cement concrete residential road under the bridge, but the site has not been handed over yet.

The project has completed 64% of the contract value, of which the bridge part has been completed 75%. The road, drainage, irrigation ditches, etc. on the approach road have been completed about 35% of the value.

To ensure the technical opening of the entire route before March 29, 2025, the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works in Da Nang has agreed on a plan to close the entire bridge before March 8, and to lay asphalt concrete on the road surface and bridge deck to ensure the technical opening of the entire route before March 29.

Inspecting the actual situation at the National Highway 14B renovation and upgrading project on the afternoon of February 7, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh commended and acknowledged that Hoa Vang district, the construction unit, closely followed the direction of the City Party Committee Secretary at the project inspection on December 3, 2024.

Mr. Vinh requested the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district to continue to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to focus on removing obstacles so that the site clearance can be carried out according to the set plan; ensure other factors related to the project; at the same time, continue to propagate and mobilize people to hand over the site to avoid affecting the project's progress.

Along with that, relevant agencies and units focus on mobilizing human resources and machinery to speed up project progress, ensuring the schedule committed to the city.

The National Highway 14B renovation and upgrade project has a total investment of more than 788 billion VND, and has signed the minutes of handover of 1,045/1,069 documents. Of which, the Department of Transport has received 495 documents of handover of the site. The remaining documents have just signed the minutes of handover but due to the Lunar New Year, they have not been dismantled yet.

Currently, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district is mobilizing people to dismantle and hand over the remaining documents, striving to complete them in February 2025. According to the decision of the City People's Committee, the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14B, belonging to group I-2024, must complete compensation and clearance work in 2024. Up to now, the volume of compensation and site clearance is very large, with 573 documents remaining.
