On July 19, the People's Committee of Da Nang City sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Transport for comments on the pre-feasibility study report of the project to expand the North-South expressway in the East, Cam Lo - La Son section.
According to the investigation of Giao Thong Newspaper's reporter in the Pre-Feasibility Study Report of the above project, there are some contents related to the intelligent traffic system from Quang Tri province to Tuy Loan intersection (Hoa Nhon commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city).

Of which, the section passing through Da Nang City is about 41.5km long, including the La Son - Hoa Lien section about 30km long (put into operation since April 2022) and the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section about 11.5km long (under construction).
In a document sent to the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Transport, the People's Committee of Da Nang City agreed to invest in an intelligent transportation system (ITS), toll stations (ETC), and vehicle weight inspection stations in the section passing through Da Nang.
According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the investment in the construction of the above items is extremely necessary to ensure synchronization, modernity, improve exploitation capacity, ensure traffic safety during the operation and exploitation of the expressway. At the same time, it is consistent with the general requirements for expressway design specified in sub-section 2.1 Section 2 QCVN 115: 2024/BGTVT National technical regulations on expressways.
In addition, the People's Committee of Da Nang City also requested the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Transport to consider and agree on investing in the construction of additional intelligent transportation systems (ITS), toll stations (ETC) and vehicle weight inspection stations at Km 54+900 (differential traffic intersection) in Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district).
This location has been approved by the Ministry of Transport to allow the connection of DT601 route to Ho Chi Minh road in Official Dispatch No. 10053.
"The People's Committee of Da Nang City will direct specialized agencies to provide complete design documents and legal documents related to the investment and construction of this intersection," the document stated.
Also according to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, through inspection, the dossier for arranging a vehicle load inspection station combined with a toll station (ETC) at the intersections of Hoa Lien - the road to the High-Tech Park (Km 65+445.31, Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district), Hoang Van Thai intersection (Km 73+503.69, Hoa Son commune, Hoa Vang district) has not mentioned the design plan and arrangement of a U-turn point to prevent vehicles from entering the expressway in case of overloaded vehicles or other emergency cases as required by the management and operation agency.
Therefore, the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Transport to direct the investor to coordinate with the consulting unit to study, design, supplement and complete this content in the next steps.
