Da Nang: 16 commune-level administrative units remain after rearrangement

On the morning of April 23, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Da Nang City Party Committee said that in order to ensure the required number of commune-level administrative units, the City Party Executive Committee held a Conference on April 23, 2025 and agreed to adjust the number to 16 commune-level administrative units in the city after the rearrangement, including: 12 wards, 3 communes and 1 special zone.

Thus, compared with the plan issued under Resolution No. 26-NQ/TU dated April 22, 2025 of the Executive Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee (term XXII), the number of commune-level administrative units formed after the rearrangement will be reduced from 19 units to 16 units.

Implementing the Resolution of the City Party Executive Committee, the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission continues to request Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, press and media agencies to urgently organize information, propaganda and mobilization to create high consensus among cadres, Party members and People on the policy of rearranging commune-level administrative units in the city.

CONTENT OF THE ARRANGEMENT OF COMMUNE-LEVEL ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS OF DA NANG CITY AFTER THE ARRANGEMENT:

I. ADJUSTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT BOUNDARIES

Adjust part of the natural area (8.40 km2) and part of the population size (1,342 people) of Hoa Lien commune (currently belonging to Hoa Vang district) to merge into Hoa Bac commune (currently belonging to Hoa Vang district).

II. ESTABLISHMENT OF WARDS, COMMUNES AND SPECIAL ZONES

1. Establish Hai Chau ward on the basis of merging the original status of 5 wards: Thanh Binh, Thuan Phuoc, Thach Thang, Hai Chau, Phuoc Ninh (currently belonging to Hai Chau district)

2. Establish Hoa Cuong ward on the basis of merging the original status of 4 wards: Binh Thuan, Hoa Thuan Tay, Hoa Cuong Bac, Hoa Cuong Nam (currently belonging to Hai Chau district)

3. Establish Thanh Khe ward on the basis of merging the original status of 5 wards: Xuan Ha, Chinh Gian, Thac Gian, Thanh Khe Dong, Thanh Khe Tay (currently belonging to Thanh Khe district)

4. Establish An Khe ward on the basis of merging An Khe ward (currently belonging to Thanh Khe district) and 02 wards: Hoa An, Hoa Phat (currently belonging to Cam Le district)

5. Establish An Hai ward on the basis of merging the original status of 3 wards: Phuoc My, An Hai Bac, An Hai Nam (currently belonging to Son Tra district)

6. Establish Son Tra ward on the basis of merging the original status of 3 wards: Tho Quang, Nai Hien Dong, Man Thai (currently belonging to Son Tra district)

7. Establish Ngu Hanh Son ward on the basis of merging the original status of 4 wards: My An, Khue My, Hoa Hai, Hoa Quy (currently belonging to Ngu Hanh Son district)

8. Establish Hoa Khanh ward on the basis of merging the original status of 2 wards: Hoa Khanh Nam, Hoa Minh (currently belonging to Lien Chieu district) and Hoa Son commune (currently belonging to Hoa Vang district).

9. Establish Lien Chieu ward on the basis of merging the original status of Hoa Khanh Bac ward (currently belonging to Lien Chieu district) and Hoa Lien commune (currently belonging to Hoa Vang district)

10. Establish Hai Van ward on the basis of merging the original status of 02 wards: Hoa Hiep Bac, Hoa Hiep Nam (currently belonging to Lien Chieu district) and Hoa Bac commune (currently belonging to Hoa Vang district)

11. Establish Cam Le ward on the basis of merging the original status of 03 wards: Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Tho Dong, Khue Trung (currently belonging to Cam Le district)

12. Establish Hoa Xuan ward on the basis of merging the original status of Hoa Xuan ward (currently belonging to Cam Le district) and 02 communes: Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Chau (currently belonging to Hoa Vang district)

13. Establish Hoa Vang commune on the basis of merging the original status of 2 communes: Hoa Phong and Hoa Phu (currently belonging to Hoa Vang district)

14. Establish Hoa Tien commune on the basis of merging the original status of 2 communes: Hoa Tien and Hoa Khuong (currently belonging to Hoa Vang district)

15. Establish Ba Na commune on the basis of merging the original status of 2 communes: Hoa Ninh, Hoa Nhon (currently belonging to Hoa Vang district)

16. Formation of Hoang Sa special zone (administrative unit equivalent to commune level) on the basis of the current status of Hoang Sa island district.
