On July 30th, at the Da Nang City People's Council meeting, a Resolution was passed on supporting tuition fees for preschool children, primary and secondary school students, and students at vocational education institutions for the 2024-2025 school year.

Accordingly, the policy applies to preschool children, students in public and private primary and secondary schools, including students at continuing education centers following the general education program. Private primary school students are also eligible for tuition fee reduction as stipulated.

Students with registered permanent residence in Da Nang City are studying high school cultural subjects and general education programs in public and private vocational education institutions in Da Nang City.

The tuition fee exemption policy does not apply to preschool children, primary and secondary school students, and students of vocational education institutions affiliated with foreign-invested educational institutions.

Specifically, Da Nang will provide 100% tuition fee support for public preschool and primary education for the first nine months of the 2024-2025 school year.

100% tuition fee support will be provided for students studying high school general education and vocational education programs in public and private vocational training institutions for a maximum of 9 months of the 2024-2025 school year.

Students eligible for tuition fee reductions under central and city policies will receive a subsidy equivalent to 100% of the tuition fees for public preschool and primary education in the 2024-2025 school year.

The city budget will fully support the tuition fees as stipulated by the Da Nang City People's Council. The total estimated support is over 108 billion VND. This is the fourth consecutive year that Da Nang has allocated budget funds to waive tuition fees for students.
