On July 30, at the meeting of the People's Council of Da Nang City, the Resolution on Tuition Support for preschool children, primary school students, and students at vocational education institutions for the 2024-2025 school year was passed.

Accordingly, the subjects of application are preschool children, students of public and non-public general schools, including students at continuing education centers following the general education program. Private primary school students are eligible for tuition reduction policies according to regulations.

Students with permanent residence in Da Nang City are studying high school cultural knowledge and general education programs in public and private vocational education institutions in Da Nang City.

The tuition exemption policy does not apply to preschool children, primary school students and students at vocational education institutions of foreign-invested educational institutions.

Specifically, Da Nang supports 100% of tuition fees for public preschool and general education for 9 months of the 2024-2025 school year.

Support 100% of tuition fees for students studying high school cultural knowledge and general education programs in public and private vocational education institutions for up to 9 months of the 2024 - 2025 school year.

Subjects who are entitled to tuition fee reduction according to the policies of the Central Government and the City will be compensated with support equal to 100% of the tuition fees for public preschool and general education in the 2024-2025 school year.

The city budget supports 100% of the tuition fees set by the Da Nang City People's Council. The total estimated support cost is over 108 billion VND. This is the fourth consecutive year that Da Nang has spent its budget to exempt tuition fees for students.
