DNVN - According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, in the first quarter of 2024, 793 enterprises resumed operations in the area, an increase of nearly 18%; but 2,669 enterprises had to temporarily suspend operations, an increase of nearly 20% over the same period in 2023.

From the above situation, lending activities of banks in the area also tend to decline. It is estimated that by the end of March 2024, outstanding loans of economic sectors in the area will reach VND 218,000 billion, down 0.8% compared to the end of 2023. Outstanding medium and long-term loans will reach VND 119,000 billion, accounting for 54.6% of total outstanding loans, down 0.5%; Outstanding short-term loans will reach VND 99,000 billion, accounting for 45.4% of total outstanding loans, down 1.2% compared to the end of 2023.
According to the Da Nang Department of Finance, the total state budget revenue in the area (excluding transferred revenue) in the first quarter of 2024 was 6,714 billion VND, reaching 34.7% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government and the City People's Council. Of which, domestic revenue was 5,994 billion VND, reaching 38% of the estimate; import-export tax revenue was 713 billion VND, reaching 20.4% of the estimate.
“In general, the state budget revenue in the first quarter of 2024, especially domestic revenue, was quite good compared to the estimate and exceeded the same period, mainly because the first months of the year were the time to welcome the new year, many production, business and trade activities took place bustlingly to meet people's needs, and due to regulations on tax declaration and settlement of 2023 in the first quarter of 2024”, said the report of the Da Nang Department of Finance.
However, according to the Da Nang Department of Finance, import-export revenue in the area is lower than the same period last year and has not reached the target, showing that the market and import-export activities still face many difficulties. Similarly, the report of the Da Nang Statistics Office also clearly stated that the import-export situation in the first quarter of 2024 showed signs of decline compared to the same period in 2023, which directly affected the import-export balance collection activities in the area.
