A vibrant space filled with flowers.
As usual, every two years, the land of a thousand flowers comes alive with its flower festival. To date, the flower festival has been held 10 times, but each time it always sparks great anticipation among many people.

Mr. Hoang Van Bang, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Lam Dong province, said that the Da Lat Flower Festival is an important cultural and tourism activity, held every two years, and "Flower Festival City" has become a brand of Da Lat - Lam Dong. With the theme "Da Lat Flowers - A Symphony of Colors," the 10th Flower Festival is a significant milestone, marking the process of forming and positioning the brand to strive for development and rise to national level. Therefore, this flower festival not only features "flowers" but also " music, " and is an opportunity to promote the image of Da Lat - Lam Dong tourism and the brand "Da Lat - A miraculous crystallization from fertile land" associated with agro-tourism and the local specialty agricultural products…," Mr. Bang said.
The main "character" of the festival, flowers, were present everywhere. Impressive, unique, and magnificent are the compliments of locals and tourists when visiting the floral display area opposite Quan The Am Pagoda on the shores of Xuan Huong Lake, managed by the Da Lat Flower Association.
Mr. Lai The Hung, Vice Chairman of the Da Lat Flower Association, said that the flower space, covering nearly 1,000 m², was created by 16 businesses within the association, featuring 15,000 potted flowers of 100 different domestic and foreign varieties. The flower space, themed "Da Lat's Colorful Melody," consists of three main parts: an outdoor flower space with small floral displays showcasing 10 different colors; an indoor flower space displaying new cut flower varieties from the annual copyrighted variety import project and high-value potted flowers in a pentagonal treehouse; and colorful decorations along the flower stream…
Similarly, at flower gardens around Ong Dao Bridge, Le Dai Hanh and Nguyen Van Cu streets, and in parks, the Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company has also built dozens of miniature landscapes with more than 30,000 flower pots and containers of various kinds, creatively and skillfully arranged, interspersed with figures playing music and musical instruments, creating unique, eye-catching, and impressive displays ready to entertain visitors.
The stage extends both into the sky and underwater.
Besides the flowers, the stage at the opening night is also an indispensable attraction for locals and tourists attending the flower festival.

Speaking to Thanh Nien newspaper , Mr. Tran Thanh Hoai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, said that the stage space has been expanded both in the sky and on the water (Xuan Huong Lake) so that everyone who cannot attend the opening ceremony at Lam Vien Square can still immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the flower festival. This year's flower festival stage can be considered one of the largest and most diverse performance spaces ever seen in Da Lat.
The main highlight of the stage is the five large LED screens; a large rotating platform and an electric crane system are also used in the artistic performances. Combining aerial performances with hundreds of light-emitting drones, a miniature floral stage on Xuan Huong Lake features laser and multi-colored LED displays, along with artistic fireworks. This is a spectacular combined performance taking place in three locations: on the main stage, in the air, and on the lake.
The main stage features staged spaces resembling a film set, with colorful decorative displays of miniature flowers characteristic of Da Lat. The image of the "wild sunflower" is used to represent the spirit of unity and resilience of the people of Da Lat.
According to Mr. Hoai, the wild sunflowers in Da Lat are often called "sunflowers" or "flowers of the poor." This flower doesn't live alone; it always thrives in storms and droughts. The sunflower symbolizes the resilience and upward striving of the 47 ethnic groups living together in the Lam Dong plateau.
"The drone light show focuses on highlighting the beauty of sunflowers, while also guiding people to connect with the emotions of Da Lat's land and sky in the romantic atmosphere of early winter, representing the harmony of the spirit of unity in overcoming all difficulties to rise together with the country in a new era…," Mr. Hoai further shared.
