Da Lat strives to help 1,200 difficult circumstances with a total value of over 1 billion VND

Da Lat City Red Cross Society and Ta Nung commune residents received livelihood assistance during Humanitarian Month 2025 at the Launching Ceremony

Mr. Tran Ngoc Tu - Chairman of the Da Lat City Red Cross Society launched the Humanitarian Month 2025, saying: This year's Humanitarian Month starts from March 1 to May 31, peaking from May 8 (International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day) to May 19 (President Ho Chi Minh's birthday).

Striving during the Humanitarian Month, the entire Da Lat City Red Cross Society system assisted 1,200 disadvantaged people with a total value of over 1 billion VND to help the poor and disadvantaged people, support the livelihoods of at least 4 disadvantaged households, share support to eliminate temporary houses with a target of 1 house worth 50 million VND, share with poor and disadvantaged fishermen in Phu Yen province with the program "Safety for poor and disadvantaged fishermen" launched by the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Central Society.

Giving livelihood support from the Da Lat City Red Cross Society to 4 extremely disadvantaged households in Ta Nung commune

After 7 years of implementation since 2018, Humanitarian Month has been responded to and actively participated in by Red Cross officials, members, volunteers, and youth; clearly demonstrating the core role of the Association; attracting the participation of many organizations, unions and people to create a large movement of mutual love and care for the poor and disadvantaged.

Realizing that humanitarian work plays an important role in supporting and helping disadvantaged families and disadvantaged people to reduce their difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives, on the occasion of the launching ceremony of Humanitarian Month 2025, with the theme Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love, the Red Cross Society of Da Lat City hopes to receive the attention of Party committees at all levels, authorities, agencies, organizations, businesses, philanthropists and people of all walks of life to continue joining hands to help the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people, contributing to the implementation of social security policies, being a bridge between the Party, the State and the People, contributing to building the humane and benevolent tradition of the nation.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society awarded the Medal for Humanitarian Cause to individuals in Da Lat City.

To enter the peak implementation phase of Humanitarian Month 2025 in the whole city of Da Lat, the leaders of the Da Lat Red Cross Society requested that Red Cross organizations promote a number of key activities such as: Propagating humanitarian values ​​and President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on humanitarian causes; mobilizing resources to provide practical assistance to beneficiaries, especially those such as poor households and vulnerable groups during the peak week of Humanitarian Month.

In which, each ward and commune association organizes at least 1 project, humanitarian work or humanitarian address program with direct support from leaders of local Party committees, authorities and sponsors.

Implement and synchronize activities of the Humanitarian Month with the organization of the 2025 Summer Red Blood Drops Campaign. Mobilize reserve blood donors and people with rare blood types to be willing to donate blood to save lives; mobilize at least 200 volunteers to participate in propaganda and mobilization of voluntary blood donation; successfully implement the 2025 Red Journey Program. Advocate policies, raise awareness of the whole society about compassion education, humanitarian work and Red Cross activities.

Giving gifts to 20 disadvantaged people in Ta Nung commune

Mr. Nguyen An Ninh - Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Ta Nung commune, representing the Red Cross Society of Da Lat city, spoke in response to the Humanitarian Month 2025 with the determination to continue to innovate propaganda and operation methods; promote the core role in promoting humanitarian activities, with the goal of all for the vulnerable people in society.

With that spirit, the grassroots associations under the Da Lat City Red Cross Society are determined to respond and promote the emulation movement in humanitarian work, completing the targets of the 2025 Humanitarian Month set by the Da Lat City Red Cross Society.

Da Lat City Red Cross Society presented 5 gifts to disadvantaged veteran members

At the launching ceremony, the Da Lat City Red Cross presented 5 gifts to disadvantaged veterans and 20 disadvantaged people in Ta Nung commune.

At the same time, the Da Lat Red Cross Society presented livelihood support to 4 extremely disadvantaged households in Ta Nung commune. In addition, the Da Lat Red Cross Society also mobilized philanthropists to join hands in supporting the livelihoods of 4 disadvantaged families in Ta Nung commune.
