"It's time for the super-rich to pay a fairer share of taxes," Biden told hundreds of workers in Pennsylvania.
Biden's June 17 campaign rally was sponsored by the AFL-CIO, a union representing 12.5 million American workers. The union publicly endorsed Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on June 16, according to AFP .

Speaking before hundreds of workers, Biden said that politicians in Washington have shown little interest in supporting unions.
"There are many politicians in this country who can't say the word 'union.' I'm not one of them. I'm proud to say it, proud to be the most union-supporting president in American history," he said.
The president described blue-collar workers as the backbone of the economy . “When the middle class prospers, everyone prospers,” he stated.
Biden also argued that legal reforms are needed to ensure the prosperity of the middle class, including reforming the "unfair" tax system.
"How can that be fair when the 55 largest corporations in America don't pay federal income taxes on $40 billion in profits?" he said.
The American leader noted that the number of American billionaires has increased to approximately 1,000. They are paying an average of 8% federal taxes on their income.
"They pay lower taxes than teachers, firefighters, and probably anyone else in this room. It's time they paid the minimum tax..." , he emphasized.
