Diverse activities on Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day at Hanoi Library

In his opening speech, Director of the Hanoi Cultural and Library Center Tran Tuan Anh emphasized that Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) is an important cultural event for book lovers and the entire community. This is also an opportunity to honor the value of books, affirming the position, role and importance of books in social life.

In response to the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, Hanoi Library (now Hanoi Cultural Center and Library) organized diverse and rich activities, creating a space for readers to experience, read books and learn about books.

Highlights of this occasion include the display and exhibition of 500 books and documents on achievements in innovation and application of science and technology in social life; the digital transformation process in the fields of economy , culture and society; introduction of outstanding works in the new period; publications on Thang Long - Hanoi culture...

Along with that, the Hanoi Cultural Center and Library organized exhibition booths, introduced books of publishing units, arranged art books; gave talks on "Books and reading culture in the era of national development"...

On this occasion, Hanoi Library also donated books to local libraries and reading rooms so that localities have many new titles to serve readers.
