One of the channels that has been evaluated as effective in consumption in recent times is the "Store introducing and selling safe agricultural products", directed by the Standing Committee of the Farmers' Association of Bac Ninh province to build and maintain operations at the headquarters of the Provincial Farmers' Association since 2016.

Sharing from the leaders of the Farmers' Association of Bac Ninh province, stemming from the increasingly improved consumption trend of people, towards safe products, beneficial for health; with the desire to introduce and trade clean products, OCOP products in and outside the province, the Farmers' Association of Bac Ninh province has assigned the Vocational Training and Farmers' Support Center of Bac Ninh province to be the unit directly responsible for building and maintaining the model of Stores introducing and selling safe agricultural products.
After 8 years of operation, the store has become a trusted address, with a large number of regular customers. Products here are labeled and stamped, helping consumers learn more about the production process and origin of the product. Also here, consumers can search and grasp reputable product manufacturing addresses, ensure food hygiene and safety and spread the use and consumption of OCOP products typical of Bac Ninh.
According to Mr. Dao Trong Dai - Director of the Center for Vocational Training and Farmer Support in Bac Ninh province: " To ensure the quality of goods supplied to the store, we have selected reputable suppliers with quality inspection certificates from competent authorities; at the same time, we signed supply contracts, assigned staff to directly supervise and participate in the process of importing and checking goods ...".
To diversify goods to serve consumers, in addition to agricultural products in the province, the store also selects specialty products from some regions that have been classified as OCOP such as: Clean rice noodles from Bac Giang province; wood ear mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms... from Cao Bang province; vermicelli, dried bamboo shoots from Bac Kan province; pickled bamboo shoots from Hoa Binh; soy sauce from Hai Duong; Muong Khuong chili sauce (Lao Cai) and many specialty products from other provinces, cities and regions.
Ms. Tran Thi Hai - living in Suoi Hoa ward (Bac Ninh city) - said: At first, she stopped by to buy things here just to wait for her children to get out of school, but after a few times, the store has now become a trusted place for her family to buy food.
After a period of effective implementation, up to now, many stores selling and introducing safe agricultural products, OCOP products in Bac Ninh province have been established, receiving positive responses from consumers. These include: Safe vegetable stores in Gia Binh district; Stores selling and introducing safe agricultural products in Hoan Son commune (Tien Du district)...
The stores commit to strictly implementing the regulations signed with the Farmers' Association to ensure product quality; regularly introduce the origin of agricultural products and safe food from production facilities inside and outside the district; share product information with customers...

In 2024 alone, Bac Ninh will organize 3 safe agricultural product markets. The first market took place in the early days of this year with the theme "Spring Market - Strong Farmers". The first market of 2024 had the participation of 22 booths displaying safe agricultural products meeting VietGAP, GlobalGAP standards, organic products, OCOP products of enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in the province and 5 provinces and cities: Bac Giang, Tuyen Quang, Dak Lak, Ha Giang, Hai Phong.
In early May 2024, Bac Ninh province continued to organize the 2nd Safe Agricultural Products Fair in 2024, with the participation of 21 booths displaying safe agricultural products, meeting VietGAP, GlobalGAP standards... of enterprises, cooperatives, business households in the province and some neighboring provinces such as: Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Lao Cai...
The special thing is that when entering the market, farmer members and consumers will be consulted and guided by the staff of the Bac Ninh Farmers' Association to download, install and use the digital platform "Vietnam Farmers". "Through the App "Vietnam Farmers", the Bac Ninh Farmers' Association hopes to promote the introduction and promotion of the province's agricultural products to a wider range of consumers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Tuyet - President of the Farmers' Association of Bac Ninh province - assessed: The scale of the safe agricultural products market in Bac Ninh province is not too large, but during the time the market takes place, it receives the approval of people inside and outside the province.
In order to continue promoting and connecting agricultural product consumption for people, it is expected that from October 14 to 16, 2024, the Vocational Training and Farmers Support Center of Bac Ninh province will continue to organize the 3rd Safe Agricultural Products Market - 2024 at the campus of Bac Ninh Provincial Library (Ly Thai Tong Street, Suoi Hoa Ward, Bac Ninh City).
This third fair will have the participation of 20 booths displaying safe agricultural products meeting VietGAP standards, organic products, OCOP products of enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in the province and the provinces: Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Nghe An, Tuyen Quang and Hai Phong City.
As a participant in many safe agricultural product fairs in Bac Ninh province, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tan - Director of Tan Phat Silic Company Limited - shared: Each fair is like a useful playground for consumers to know the agricultural brands of their locality as well as other provinces. I hope there will be more playgrounds like this so that consumers can know the gardeners without going through traders but still have access to products that ensure quality and reasonable prices.
The highlight of the fair is the strict quality control, in addition to the requirement to provide certificates, it is necessary to conduct actual inspections at the production site. This is an annual activity to promote trade, connect agricultural product consumption for enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in the province; promote trade in the agricultural sector, craft villages; link in production, seek cooperation opportunities and consume local agricultural products and OCOP products; contribute to the effective implementation of the Project "Bac Ninh strives for no more unsafe food" and the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
