In early April, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) launched a YouTube channel with content to disseminate knowledge about fire prevention and fighting. The special thing is that in addition to video clips recording legal propaganda content, the YouTube channel also posted the cartoon "Rapid Rescue Team". With images of school-age children transforming into cartoon characters participating in handling fire and explosion situations at school or home, the film immediately received positive reception from students and teachers after its release.
Chu Khanh Van (class 6D, Van Lang Primary and Secondary School) said: I find the content of the film very familiar and useful. The characters in the film are very cute. The images are vivid and funny. We have just watched a cartoon and been provided with knowledge about fire prevention and fighting, which is very suitable for students' age.
Previously, in the programs to propagate the law on fire prevention and fighting at schools, students sat and listened to the fire prevention officers present knowledge and instructions on how to use fire extinguishers, or had hands-on experience with the equipment of professional fire fighting forces. However, in recent programs, students are the subjects, the ones who directly demonstrate their understanding of fire prevention and fighting knowledge through answering questions.
The practical exam focused on operations and skills to escape in a smoky environment, rescue people and property, use fire alarms and portable fire extinguishers, etc. The competition between the teams created an exciting atmosphere, highlighting the image of brave and intelligent firefighters when performing their duties.
The "114 Fire Alarm" contest is not only a contest, but also a practicaleducational and entertainment activity, organized simultaneously in schools, helping students acquire knowledge in an easy-to-remember and easy-to-understand way. From there, it forms the habit of being calm and confident when encountering incidents, as well as training the spirit of teamwork, contributing to building a young generation with knowledge, life skills, knowing how to protect themselves and help others in dangerous situations.
Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Chau Hoai Thu said: On this occasion, schools throughout the province organized propaganda about fire prevention and fighting in many forms such as ringing the golden bell, dramatization, simulation... to help students be more excited in receiving information. Through these forms, not only teachers but also students have more useful skills to serve well in preventing and participating in fire prevention and fighting effectively at home, school, and community.
Not only for students, the "114 Fire Alarm" Contest was also held in industrial parks with the participation of teams from enterprises operating in the industrial park. As a direct contestant, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet (BBL home New Materials Co., Ltd., Dong Mai Industrial Park, Quang Yen Town) said: I found the contest content very practical, closely following real-life situations. We were able to learn to answer questions about fire prevention and fighting knowledge. In the practical part, we competed in breaking locks, rescuing victims, moving property out, extinguishing fires with water and fire extinguishers.
The "114 Fire Alarm" contest and fire fighting and rescue skills at schools, industrial parks and industrial clusters in the province is one of the outstanding initiatives in the propaganda work of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force of the Provincial Public Security, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of ensuring fire prevention and rescue safety in the province in general, and in industrial parks and industrial clusters in particular.
“To answer the questions posed by the Organizing Committee, contestants will have to learn about the provisions of the law, thereby gaining knowledge about fire prevention and fighting. In addition, practicing the skills of using fire extinguishers and rescuing victims to perform well in the practical test will also help contestants improve their fire prevention and fighting skills. The test results show that the teams that answered the questions and participated in the test achieved very high results. We will continue to expand this test content, as well as new forms of propaganda to all industrial parks and industrial clusters in the province and schools and facilities with a large number of workers at high risk of fire and explosion, to raise awareness and skills to all people, thereby doing a good job of fire prevention and fighting in the area” - Lieutenant Colonel Mai Van Anh, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) said.
