The benchmark scores for grade 10 admission to public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year are as follows:

This is the first year that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has implemented online confirmation of 10th grade admission instead of parents having to go to the high school where they have been admitted to confirm their children's admission directly.

Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that to confirm admission to regular grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year, parents must follow these 4 steps:

• Step 1: Students/parents open a web browser (Firefox, Chrome, Coc Coc...).
• Step 2: Access the address: https://ts10.hcm.edu.vn and select [Look up 10th grade entrance exam results].
• Step 3: Enter your account information and password then select [Login].
• Step 4: The interface displays the student's profile information and grade 10 results. Then the student/parent confirms enrollment according to the following notes:

- [Confirmation of admission]: Confirmation of admission according to the school you have been admitted to.

- [Confirm not submitting application (waiting for other wishes)]: Confirm not enrolling in the school you have been admitted to, waiting for consideration of your wishes to another school in the next search round.

- [Confirmation of not submitting application (non-public school)]: Confirmation of not enrolling in the school accepted to study non-public school.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training noted that each profile can only be confirmed once, so students and parents should consider carefully before doing so.

After successful confirmation of admission, students/parents will issue a confirmation of admission registration.

After knowing the admission results, candidates go to the junior high school where they studied grade 9 to withdraw their application to submit to high school. The application includes: Application form for graduation from junior high school in 2024 and admission report card for grade 10 with exam scores and 3 wishes; Junior high school transcript (original); Temporary graduation certificate issued by educational institutions and birth certificate verified from the application form.

The Department of Education and Training's leaders also emphasized that the Department of Education and Training will not handle cases of changing admission wishes after the announcement of admission results.

High schools do not accept applications nor provide guidance on how to change 10th grade preferences. They only accept applications from candidates on their school's 10th grade admission list.

It is known that in this year's 10th grade entrance exam, Ho Chi Minh City has more than 98,000 candidates taking the exam to enter 114 high schools with a total target of about 78,000 students.

After 10th grade students complete their admission application, depending on the actual number of students enrolled, the Department of Education and Training will develop a second round of enrollment plans for schools that have not yet met their enrollment quotas, in accordance with the actual situation of each high school to ensure enough places for students in the area. It is known that after the 2023 10th grade entrance exam, the Department of Education and Training has specifically counted the number of students enrolled and announced the additional enrollment of about 3,000 10th grade students for nearly 100 public high schools.
