Candidates said the math questions were differentiated, "easy questions were really easy, difficult questions were really difficult"
Many candidates at Dong Da Secondary School, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City said that this year's math exam had many easy questions that were very easy, and many difficult questions that were very difficult. Many students predicted that the easy score would be 6.5-7 points and the difficult score would be 8, 9, 10 points.
"The test was within my ability. I found many easy questions really easy but also difficult ones really difficult," said a candidate named MK, a student at Gia Dinh High School.
"I have been accepted to a university so I am not too worried about this result. But the math subject has some quite difficult problems for me," said candidate NL.
At the Colette High School exam site in Ho Chi Minh City, many candidates said the exam was quite easy. Tran Tuan Anh, a student at Le Thi Hong Gam High School, said he was able to answer at least 35/50 questions. However, the last 15 questions gradually increased in difficulty. "Many of the high-level questions were very different from the ones we had reviewed," Tuan Anh said.
Vy An, a student at Le Quy Don High School, said the first 30 questions were very easy. The really difficult questions were concentrated in the last 10 questions. These difficult questions focused on exercises related to geometry, graphs, functions... "Of the last 10 difficult questions, I was able to do 2 questions," Vy An said.
Nguyen Phuoc An (Vinschool High School, Binh Thanh District) said the test was within his ability, he could get 40/50 questions correct, above 7.5 points. Anh Tuyet (Vo Thi Sau High School, Binh Thanh District) shared: "The test was within his ability, I got 8 points. The last 10 questions were a bit difficult, but I was still confident in completing them."

Candidate Le Minh Long at Phan Huy Chu testing site in Hanoi said that this year's math questions were clearly differentiated. There were about 15 quite difficult questions. Many candidates at this testing site also commented that this year's math questions were difficult. Some candidates said they could not do half of them.
Picked up by her mother and younger sibling after the math exam, Lu Thi Van (Bac Ha High School No. 1, Lao Cai ) shared that this year's math exam was quite difficult, the first 32 questions were within the ability of most students, while the following questions were more difficult. Van is confident of getting 7 points and hopes to be admitted to her dream teacher training school.
Nguyen Ba Cong, class 12A2, Hoang Quoc Viet High School, Bac Ninh, assessed that the math exam was well-classified with the last 12 questions being more difficult than last year, with many difficult types such as integral applications, Oxyz space, and complex numbers. "Last year's official exam was easier than this year. I could do well with the first 38 questions. With more difficult questions, the ability to differentiate is higher, so the exam score may be lower," he said.
Nguyen Thanh Tuan, who also scored 9 points on the Hoang Quoc Viet High School Exam in Bac Ninh, said that most students could do the first 38 questions, and the questions on functions, graphs, and equations were not too difficult. The last 12 questions were more difficult than last year. "I did the practice tests for a while and got a score of 9 or higher, but the math test only got a score of 8 points," Tuan said.

At the exam site of Vinh University High School for the Gifted, Vinh City, Nghe An , many candidates who left the exam room the earliest when asked all shared that the math exam was "easy" or "within their ability" but quite long. The exam had a high level of differentiation, including 10 questions requiring calculation, for students with good and excellent academic ability.
"The questions at the most cognitive level were about functions, antiderivatives and integrals. Some questions were in the 11th grade curriculum, old knowledge so I guessed it. I scored myself above 7 points," said Ha An.

Sharing the same opinion with Ha An, Phan Van Khanh said that the math questions followed the curriculum and the structure was illustrative. "This morning, I got the literature test right, so I felt very comfortable doing math. This year's math questions weren't too difficult but they were a bit long. I think many students won't be able to do them in 90 minutes," Khanh said.
In some localities in Nghe An, after the math class ended, there was thunderstorms. Parents prepared umbrellas and raincoats to pick up their children.
Unlike the cheerful atmosphere in the morning, this afternoon after the Math exam ended, candidates in Binh Dinh all assessed that this year's exam was much more difficult than last year's. At the exam site of Quoc Hoc Quy Nhon School (Quy Nhon City), the atmosphere was somewhat quiet because students were worried that this year's Math exam was a bit "difficult".
Nguyen Quoc Bao shared: "This year's Math exam is very difficult. Especially the last 10 questions. I'm only confident about question 44. I'm not sure about the rest."

From question 35 onwards, the questions were relatively difficult and very difficult, requiring candidates to have a good mindset, a solid grasp of knowledge, and many flexible solutions.
"I might get 7 points on my math test, because I'm very confident with questions from 35 down. I think many of you will also get high scores on your math test this afternoon," said contestant Viet Khoi.

According to Mr. Lam Vu Cong Chinh, math teacher at Nguyen Du High School, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, this year's math exam is more difficult than the sample exam announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Of these, the first 35 questions are considered to be used for high school graduation, and from question 36 onwards are used to differentiate candidates. In general, this year's exam focuses more on functions than previous years. There are fewer questions about cones and cylinders.
"For average students, they can easily get 5 points on this test to graduate from high school. Average - good students can get 7 points if they have good math skills. However, I predict that this year there won't be many 10 points.
It can be said that this year's exam is well differentiated, meeting both goals: high school graduation and university and college admission," said Mr. Chinh.
