Traditional culture is exploited and vividly conveyed to viewers, becoming the "trump card" of many TV game shows.

"Gen Z Connects Heritage" is a television game show for young people who are passionate about media and love culture and history. Each episode will open a journey to discover a different heritage, helping teams gain a deeper understanding of the cultural values of the nation.

Success beyond expectations

Each episode of "Gen Z Connects Heritage" will have a separate theme and the teams will have to fulfill the requirements set by the program when making media products. Duong Hoang Hai - Head of the "Gen Z Connects Heritage" project - said that the program aims to spread and inspire love for cultural and historical values to the public, especially young people. From there, they will become the ones to preserve and promote the nation's precious heritage - the common pride of Vietnamese people of all ages.

Recently, many TV shows and game shows have been successful thanks to their cultural highlights. The unique performances of some traditional music genres or the introduction of historical destinations, scenic spots, etc. have strongly spread Vietnamese culture to the community. The resonance of famous casts (players) with the cultural highlights in the program creates truly attractive game shows.

Among these, the program "2 days 1 night" must be mentioned, in addition to entertainment, it also aims to promote culture, bringing viewers to explore and experience historical destinations and scenic spots across 3 regions of the country. Recently, in episode 75 of "2 days 1 night", not only did viewers discover the special things of Quang Ninh, but the Tra Co Communal House Festival was also vividly recreated, giving viewers a real experience.

Promoting the unique values, diverse cuisine, unique culture and rich landscapes has helped the program achieve many successes, bringing great values to the community. The producer informed that each episode of the program reaches 10 million views or more (3 billion views on platforms). The program has been produced in season 3 but still shows no signs of cooling down.

In addition to "2 Days 1 Night", programs such as "Superstar Squad" and "Brilliant Journey" are still attracting viewers thanks to their humanistic meaning and the beautiful cultural features of Vietnam. Artist Truong Giang - who has hosted many game shows in recent times - believes that conveying many cultural values also helps artists become more confident in their playing style, performance, and integration into the program's atmosphere. They are also proud to discover many unique things about the nation's culture.

Keep spreading

The unexpected success of this type of entertainment combined with the promotion of Vietnamese culture has made this type of game show the "trump card" of many production units. A series of programs with similar colors have been launched.

Yeah1 recently announced a new reality game show project about farmers' lives. "HAHA Farmer" attracted attention thanks to its idea of promoting Vietnamese cultural identity and agricultural values to audiences. This is a Vietnamese version of the popular reality game show released by MangoTV in China.

This Vietnamese version of the game show aims to promote the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) program, increase the consumption of agricultural products and contribute to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to domestic and foreign audiences.

Insiders acknowledge that in addition to the advantages, there are still limitations, such as many programs only focus on the humorous aspects of the artists; in-depth experiences of traditional culture have not been exploited much. The reason is that choosing a destination and exploiting the cultural characteristics of each location is not easy.

Because cultural activities such as Dao weddings, amateur music, Tay Son traditional martial arts, Western floating market culture, Khmer dance, Ede epic dance... take a lot of time to find consultants and guides to recreate them correctly.
