(Dan Tri) - American analyst and former officer Daniel Davis said that Ukraine must accept the reality that the only way to end the conflict with Russia is negotiation.

In an interview with Fox News last weekend, Mr. Daniel Davis commented that the strategy of Western countries to "support until needed" to help Ukraine win the conflict with Russia is unlikely to be effective.
“There is no way that we can get anywhere if we just give Ukraine more things or help them in this way to change the situation. That is not going to happen, it is definitely beneficial to Russia,” he said.
“If we continue to do that, more Ukrainians will die and in the end they will still lose this war,” he stressed.
According to the former US officer, the only way for Kiev to end the conflict is through negotiations.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently said that he believes the conflict with Russia will end more quickly when US President-elect Donald Trump takes office early next year. He added that Ukraine "must do everything so that this war ends next year, ends through diplomatic means."
Mr. Zelensky also said that he and President-elect Trump had a "constructive" phone call immediately after the US presidential election, but did not reveal whether Mr. Trump made any proposals regarding negotiations with Russia.
