Mr. Tran Mong Hung

Specifically, Mr. Tran Hung Huy posted an obituary for Mr. Tran Mong Hung, born in 1953, who passed away on April 25, 2024. Mr. Hung's remains are kept at his residence, No. 469, Group 19, Luong Le Hamlet, My Luong Commune, Cai Be District, Tien Giang Province, and he will be buried in the family's grounds.

Mr. Tran Mong Hung is known in the finance and banking industry as the founderof ACB . He graduated with a bachelor's degree in banking from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and became a lecturer at the Advanced Banking Professional School (from 1978 to 1980).

With his expertise in finance, in 1993, Mr. Tran Mong Hung, along with his relatives and friends, established ACB with an initial charter capital of 20 billion VND.

In its early years, Mr. Tran Mong Hung held the position of General Director, and later Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACB.

In 2008, after 15 years of leading ACB, Mr. Hung resigned from the Board of Directors and stepped into an advisory role. His son, Mr. Tran Hung Huy, has been leading ACB ever since.

According to ACB's management report for the first six months of 2023, Mr. Tran Mong Hung does not hold any shares in the bank. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACB, Mr. Tran Hung Huy, owns 133 million shares, equivalent to 3.43% of the shares. Meanwhile, Ms. Dang Thi Thu Thuy, Mr. Hung's wife, holds 46.4 million ACB shares, equivalent to 1.19% of the bank's capital.
