On February 23, information from the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital (Quang Binh) said that doctors and nurses at this hospital had just coordinated with leading experts in oncology to successfully perform surgery and emergency care for a patient with ovarian cancer who had a perforated intestine due to surgical complications.
The patient is Ms. HTCT (54 years old, living in Quan Hau Town, Quang Ninh District) with stage 4 ovarian cancer. 3 months ago, patient T.'s condition showed signs of worsening, and she was hospitalized at the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dai Binh and doctors of Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital Dong Hoi successfully performed surgery, saving the patient's life.
After examination, the doctors performed surgery, removed the remaining tumors, cleared the lymph nodes... and prescribed medications for the patient. After the surgery, patient T.'s health improved, cancer indicators decreased and he was discharged from the hospital.
On February 19, the patient went to the hospital to continue treatment. On February 21, patient T. had abdominal pain and showed signs of septic shock. Doctors performed an ultrasound and X-ray, which determined that there was a perforation in the cecum.

After more than 3 hours of surgery, doctors from the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital and Dr. Nguyen Dai Binh successfully performed the surgery, saving the patient's life.
Currently, patient T.'s health is recovering, his indicators are stable, and he is being cared for and monitored by the medical team.
